New Customizations - Lightforged and Nightborne Rejoice!

Glad to see them reversing that extremely foolish decision to not include more customizations during Shadowlands. I just hope there will be enough time to do Lightforged Draenei and Nightborne actual justice. Nightborne in particular need a complete redo, or so it feels. They just don’t look enough like their NPCs.

Also, ear lengths for Void Elves. Why that didn’t make it in the first wave I have no idea. For that matter, why didn’t Lightforged Draenei get tail length options at the same time as Draenei? This seems like it should be pretty simple copy/paste kind of stuff.

Anyways, what are you all hoping to see added?

Nice! Very nice!

I’m actually feeling pretty good about where Goblins are right now. Not that I wouldn’t appreciate more hair options, particularly hair that’s let’s down. Also some legit gold jewelry and not this strange rose gold hue.

Nightborne needed them the most by far, so I’m thrilled to hear about that.

I still want non-voidy hair options for void elves though. But that comes from the place of being a long-term Thalassian elf fan. Personal bias ahoy - give us full High Elves rather than half measures.

Funnily enough I’m not even really keen to play a High Elf. I’m just wanting them implemented lol.

It’d be nice. That said, I’m glad we know Highmountain are next in line after Lightforged Draenei and Nightborne. All four of the Legion Allied Races are really lacking in customizations options, so its good to see the ones who got virtually nothing (if not exactly nothing) with the first wave getting prioritized.

That said, I won’t be surprised if, at this point, they just update Void Elves a little bit with each wave of customizations. Maybe they’ll get copied hairstyles and colors from Blood Elves when Highmountain get their new features. That said, I would hope Blood Elves could at least get some Dark Ranger/San’layn options as well, such as red eyes and a grey skintone.

I’d like to see Worgen and Forsaken get upright options the way Orcs did, but I imagine something like that might have to wait until 10.0.

Bleh… I quit because they stopped adding customizations. Now I feel like I need to re-sub. Well, I’ll resub once 9.1.5 drops I guess. There isn’t much in there for me personally, but they reversed their course on that stupid decision to stop adding more customizations. That’s a tiny bit of good will restored, depending on where they go from here.

It’s a really positive step forward to see then reversing course on updates to character customization updates this patch. Personally I’m glad where Pandarean are right now so I have no complaints. I do agree that Worgen do need some attention still though. I still don’t understand why they haven’t just caved in and given people the option to let their Worgen have a tail.

On the off topic side note, they really need to reconsider working on heritage armor. So many races are deserving of having this opportunity given to them (please Pandaren), it’s way overdue.

I’m pretty excited for this! Finally we will not all be twins at events!

This is what happens when you send a message with your wallet. Good stuff – keen to see more.

It’s not enough to tempt me back after everything that’s happened, but I’m not even slightly exaggerating when I say that this announcement is more exciting to me than literally everything they added in 9.1

How could you leave the crittershapes out of the hype? Squirrel roleplay here I come.

I don’t play Ardenweald so, you know… I didn’t even really pay attention to that.

Man, isn’t it interesting how we get all these things we asked for after the company screws up a lot.

Pushing my cynicism aside I’m glad they’re seemingly walking back that foolish decision. Perhaps there is still hope for femdorf beards, or normal long hair for Pandaren, in the foreseeable future.

New druid shapeshift forms will bring me back, only after another update on how the company and executives are making changes to company culture to exclude and punish misogyny and harassment.

Yes! I’m glad they are giving the Allied Races some much needed love, especially the Legion ones!

Curious to see what this encompasses, just giving male nightborne an extra face or two that isn’t an angry raisin face would be a huge improvement by itself lol

I hope they don’t stop after updating allied races and revisit some of the core races that didn’t get as much as some of the others but I rather they focus on the Legion allied races first before fixing the hole in male Draenei heads or their busted monk animation lol. Also Draenei heritage armour when??

Blizzard would have to do some major character creation overhaul to make me come back for that alone. Like full on face/body sliders, accessories, tattoos and warpaints, scars, new hairs, new faces, eyes, skins, the woiks. Two races that should have had more options years ago is not even scrapping the bottom of bare minimum.

Actually. Nix that. It still wouldn’t be enough.

and it’s still so, so little.

I still haven’t gotten my gnome fro. I hate to think of what has to happen for me to get it.
