I wish I was already out of college so I could just go straight to working as an Artist at Blizz and just put all of the customization you guys want in directly
Rest assured, if they haven’t added Dark Ranger and Farstrider stuff by the time I’ve graduated in like 2024, I WILL make it happen >;(
Yeah Nelfs really hit the Jackpot, especially with the tats customization on top of everything. The hair leaf toggle for ALL hairstyles is also such a cool piece of technology. Would love to see Arcane toggle for Nightborne and Void toggle for Velfs.
Rework? No, not at all. Add more stuff? I’d be more surprised if they didn’t. We don’t know what’s still being worked on that didn’t get to the alpha yet. More customization options can be added during beta.
Adding a new model (hairstyle) or a new texture (scars/tattoos/haircolors) is a very simple matter compared to something like reworking a class spec or drastically changing specific class skills.
It’s especially easy for them to simply enable options that already exist like the Darkfallen skin/eyes.
I repeat: where does it says in the lore on it´s show in the game this “Farstrider tattoos” actually exist as something related to the organization per se? Cause so farand unfortunately for you people, it only happened in Alleria. All and every freaking Farstrider shown in official art lacks them.
If anything, this points to the r-tarded dev mentality that invested resources in very niche and underwhelming stuff nobody asked for AND not even related to the race when we see official art, but that ignored the easier to implement stuff because ofc that stuff doesn´t scream “superficial ignoramus socialite”.
My poor sweet summer child… I applaud your bravery and pity your optimism. You´re going against the “no negative energy on the dojo” dev team A.K.A. they will deny there´s discontent for starters, period.
It may be easier, but is NOT as important as finishing the art stuff for the new zones proper and working on the art for raids / dungeons / etc. And after they´ll have to work on next patch´s art stuff and so on and so fort (ergo: schedule).
Nightborne proved this. People “waited” for Beta to “fix” the issues and the joke was on them.
Oh I agree with you that finishing the art stuff for zones/raids/dungeons is vastly more important. The thing is, I’m fairly certain that much of that work was probably the first to be done and is in a mostly finished state already. What I believe may be happening now is polishing whatever isn’t polished, and a scramble to squeeze in as many customization options as they feasibly can for launch.
Nightborne do need a lot of love. More love than is easy and quick to provide I believe. From my perspective, Blizzard seems to be grabbing the “low hanging fruit” as it were. The quickest and easiest options to implement. I do want them to devote the necessary time and effort that Nightborne need however, and that’s something I’ve continuously supported.
