It’s culturally related. Have you been to Silvermoon?
They basically kicked out the Farstriders.
They’re a bunch of rock’n’rolla’s. It’s all about the look.

Tradition is why…
Also again. I want both tattoo options for Velfs and belfs… Cause they’re the same people.
You’re a human and not a developer working for Blizzard. Also someone that frankly understands the race as much as an amoeba understand it’s existence.
Which tradition, the one only seen in Alleria and literally no one else?
What?
Huh?
Hey Siri?
“Yes Reno?”
What is this?
“Error, self destruction in 10 seconds.”
Thanks, Siri.
The Rangers in WCII…
What is your point? Are you saying neither group should have them or something?
(To diminish forum clutter- this seems the appropriate place.)
In light of the current interview with Ion, I would like to make a community suggestion for a customization option for Void Elves.
Currently, Void elves have beautiful purple color depth around their eyes and mouth. Make up, if you will. With the addition of the blood elf skin tones, I find myself missing that gaunt look.
It would be cool if they had an option to add that additional depth the the new blood elf skin tones (much like the way humans are receiving eye shadow options).
Not necessary, but would be very cool.
I also wouldn’t be sad if a true black hair option was introduced.
On the topic of Blood Elves, I have always felt their faces looked washed out. I think they would benefit from some make-up depth - color - again, like the humans, to create dimension in their faces.
To anyone reading this at blizzard, thank you for your consideration.
i dont think she has a point, other than to have something to debate on a lazy afternoon on the great blue marble of sagan’s universe.
I’m saying ideally, only Velves and only as some sort of expression of gratitude and / or admiration for Alleria.
I think asking for two different types of tattoos would be causal for rejection of the whole tattoo concept from the devs, so between making an allegory to Belf proper stuff and making an allegory that only works for a niche population I’d always take the first option.
My personal stance on the matter is: you can put them AFTER I get my runic tatoos, tyvm.
i wonder if they can do the ones on the box art, and just have them glow a bit, so it looks like you have a crescent moon around your eye, from a distance.
Or they could go with what’s more popular.
The runic tattoo art, then? Cause I 100% agree…
But they’re Tattoos from the past of the High elves. They’re Farstrider tattoos.
There is no reason the blood elves would abandon them. Especially not the Farstriders. The Farstriders certainly wouldn’t adopt the Magisters tattoos…
Digging out reasons for exclusivity is odd to me when both races are the same people.
I’d wager Ranger Tats are widely more popular than Runic Tats.
They’ve been asked for by high elf pros and belf lovers for years.
Or you can do both considering tattoos really are arguably simple to add in as they’re flat 2-D textures.
Like the amount of effort and time it’d take to make like 3-4 styles of Farstrider tats with 5 color variants and 3 Runic tats with a few color variants would be pretty minimal compared to what it took to make the 3-D jewelry they’ve added.
Although Farstrider tats would arguably take WAY less time to do, at least from my experience, purely because they are less detailed/intricate.
And they seem to be more popular ^^
Exactly… Which is what I’ve been suggesting.
Edit: show the old tradition with something more new.
Ugh, i hope you do end up getting it! <3 We gotta keep fighting sis!!
I asked Ion if he could comment on the state of Belf player’s discontent with customization and informed him about our threads. I told him we want to know if we’re being heard. Whether he cares enough to answer is another thing. I don’t want to be annoying but I will be if I think it will make Devs pay attention. I’ve tried being nice and polite, now I’ll try being nice and polite but annoying too.
