Not really?
Hair color 2 is just a more saturated blue, that’s it.
Not really?
Hair color 2 is just a more saturated blue, that’s it.
It’s literally blue because of the Void. No other thalassian has their hair colours or options, because they have all been altered by the Void.
I want freckles so much for more races, and more options with freckles for the races with them!
Blood Elves can have blue hair as well, it’s just a different shade/saturation.
…Because of the Void. You won’t see any other thalassian elf with their blue.
Freckles are adorable.
These are the customizations I’d like to see:
I can see where this comes from and I agree. It is kind of odd that void elves now have more skin color options than blood elves and I can relate with the jealousy.
But this is why I think playable high elves could have avoided this problem completely since there wouldn’t be one side with more diverse skin tones than the other (void elves having more than blood elves). Especially with the altered models and stances taken into consideration.
Which brings me to the point that there’s no good way of approaching this. Because antis do not want high elves to be playable. And because they also do not want void elves to have light skins and a blue eyes.
So there’s really no compromise because no matter what’s added to the alliance in relations to high elves (whether it’s full on high elves, or void elves with light/dark skins), the same people will always be upset.
Instead of being upset, they should put more energy into perhaps requesting more options for blood elves if they feel that what they have isn’t enough.
This, give blood elves dark ranger skins!
And give them the void elf hair colors.
It’s honestly more of a gameplay thing to differentiate them, probably.
I’d welcome more Void Elf hair colors, but since we have no explicit statement on why the hair is blue, it’s moot anyway.
I can’t say for sure that it’s not because of the void, and you certainly can’t say for sure that it is.
Unless Blizzard weighed in it’s just opinion anyway.
Fezzy is out of likes so I’m on Kyuu today.
Makes a nice little counter to void elves since void haaates death magic too.
They are! I want them for my night elves!
I agree with this, I will be playing my Dark Ranger themed BE very preppy still and still a bit idk I have a distinctive vision for him. But I know fans of more edgy aesthetics, like Fallyn recommended the hairstyles from NE’s would fit a lot of peoples tastes, especially ones who like that look and are fans of the Dark Ranger themes. I know for me its DR and I’m happy in seeing BE’s have a victory and my own personal victory for it, but for others it still leaves aesthetic questions / wants in the form of hairstyles.
And then everything else you said I support too.
And that goes back to the point that they are moreabout being pissed off about what others got than what they want.
I respect a lot anyone that comes forth and just says “I want dark ranger customization because I always wanted to play as one. I feel they are so cool!”. Thumbs up, props to you, I’ll fully support your request.
But when their talk is just “Void elves got normal skins, so we demand another exclusive theme. Either Blizzard give us dark rangers or they are favoring everyone else”, I can’t respect that. It’s not a true desire. It’s something motivated by envy and entitlement. To the point that they are not satisfied in seeing us say “I support dark ranger customization”, they need to be passive-aggressive and keep calling how everyone else got a better deal than them.
Skin wise Void Elves did, period. This is objective fact.
I say this as someone overjoyed for the new Void Elf skin tones.
No it doesn’t you are just belittling peoples concerns, because they are making the parallel between situations they feel are unequal.
It’s not like it’s impossible to want something for your race and also have concerns regarding a similar race.
So, if we get just a sample of blood elf skins, rather than all of them, things turn out fine? Because most likely that’s what’s going to happen.
And they are not getting just skins. That’s picking whatever trait gives them the best argument and ignoring everything else that contradicts it.
I don’t know. I think that is a rather black and white viewpoint. It ignores genuine concerns, not to mention wants.
It doesn’t have to be either or. It can be both. It can be something else.
It feels uneven to me honestly. I think Dark Ranger customization could really even it out and be thematically beneficial.
Yeah it does! And pointing this out doesn’t equate to not supporting additional HE requests, unless someone explicitly states as such, its just making sure Blood Elves get equal treatment.
ANd I said in the very message you quoted:
