New Customization Options for Blood Elves and Void Elves

Some troll info was found yesterday. So I imagine we will be getting orc and goblin info next week.

Although, I thought we have seen some orc stuff? Idk it appears they are releasing by layers.

Need dragonmaw and black rock orc customizations.

The orc stuff was just tattoos which still have to make their way to the dressing room, eye colours and 3 skin tints. Given how much everyone’s been getting I’m expecting more.

And yeah, Blackrock tones or riot.

The lady troll hair looks great. Humans with streaks seemed anachronistic to me, but I really dig the trolls with it for some reason.

Iam kind of thinking that the 6 initial ARs, and maybe DID/maghar might get customizations at pre-patch. Might be a bit harder for Zandalari, Kul’tirans, Vulpera and mech gnome until later… since the other races essentially have parent races.

tbh orcs with nose rings have been appearing on cover art since Warcraft 2, it’s a crime they aren’t available.

They finally added leaves to Night Elves, soooo they hopefully they add some orc nose rings and such.

I’m kind of hoping that they finally give orcs crutches as an option. It’s cruel to expect us to walk around without any help after being hit by the villain bat so many times.

I am glad for NEs but they have been getting a lot I hope Blizzard wouldn’t announce Undead NEs without the Undead Dark Ranger BEs.

I sort of suspect the same though if it’s done both will get it which I’m fine with.

You are confusing datamined stuff for ready stuff.

We don’t know what is ready for this build (because the servers aren’t available yet), but until last one the ready stuff was humans, dwarves, draenei, worgen, blood elves, undead and tauren.

I’m predicting troll and night elf stuff is ready for this build, but until it’s up, it’s anyone’s guess.

Even the ready stuff may still get additions down the line. There’s more Draenei stuff, for instance, that wasn’t available despite the race being ready last build.

Datamined orc stuff include war paint, eye colors and new skins. There’s also datamined goblin (hair styles and colors, eye colors, noses and ears), pandaren (skins, hair styles, beards, mustaches), gnome (skin colors, hair colors, some beards and hair, eye colors). But none of those races is ready.

There’s also some small allied race additions that are readied but doesn’t mean it’s the whole they’ll get: void elf, nightborne, kul tiran eye colors, bald options, new nightborne earring, kul tiran mustaches and beards separated, and so on.

I think they just figured out the limitations of the Allied Races system.

They just add a ton of load to development time. I think they were planned as a kind of fire and forget system and the work shouldn’t be compounded as those races were doing things in WoW anyways. Like Dark Iron dwarves are running around.

But giving them limited customization options isn’t ideal. Lightforged Draenei should have just been (potentially unlocked) customization options just like the Night Warrior eyes were.

A sub-race drop down would have been a better solution. But then you run into the legacy problems with the race selection screen: Dwarf, Goblin, Pandaren, Dwarf. Orc…

Blood Elf? Kul’tiran, Lightforged Draenei…

Racial prefixes kind of break it.

They should just put the time into a sub-race drop down.

I’d imagine if anything they’d most likely do Undead Blood Elves first and foremost as they’re far more iconic and have both more lore and assets to draw on. The Undead Night Elves would be harder to add, though I feel like the burn scar is a good sign for all of the above.

Theoretically character customization will be an ongoing process. Rather than getting Allied Re afes we are likely to see continued customization options…

So it would behoove them to put in the technology to change this from a short term band-aid to a long term solution to deliver Allied Races.

Undead Night Elves could just be dropped into Nightborne customization.

I get where you are coming from and I too have my worries. I’m just trying to be positive for my own sake as I tend towards pessimism and it’s not mentally healthy for me due to personal reasons. I do empathize with the orcs, though. No matter what they did after SoO, it seemed like Blizz wanted to relive the Orcs vs Humans regardless of what orc players wanted. So thank you for elaborating on your point and yes, the villain bat does have an impact on Dark Rangers. I see it everyday and everywhere I advocate for them.
