I on the other hand have no hope because they don’t care about Blood Elves only Void Elves.
You could say you’re… devoid of hope? I’m sorry, I had to!
I think news on the blood elf front will take a while to appear. Any change of plans will probably be added to the end of implementation line, just like the decision for void elf skins was taken over a month ago and nothing has materialized yet.
I think Blizzard may seize the moment to add more options to blood elves when they start working in void elf stuff, since the base model is the same. If by then we don’t see red eyes or tattoos, then they won’t be in for 9.0.
Alamara, have i told you how much i love your mog? You look AMAZING, like a true farstrider!
There’s also the small chance each Covenant gets a “Night Warrior” quest and everyone can be a Vampire through Venthyr.
Thanks!
This is my favorite one, thought I have a lot of other ranger mogs. I love the cowled ranger look!
I would LOVE a hairstyle EXACTLY like Alleria that shows through cowls.
That would be cool, but it’s really hard to pull off. Blizzard would need to check every hair option to see which ones wouldn’t be hidden by certain head slots, and even then some parts of the hair would need to be hidden.
Another possibility is to build-in hair styles within the model of the head item. But again, it would be troublesome because those special hair styles would need to change color according to the character customization, or even disappear depending on race or current customization option not fitting that hair.
It’s possible, but the amount of work makes it not worth the effort most of the time.
The “easy” way to do it is simply to create hoods with hair coming out that uses whatever color is assigned to your character’s hair. You’d have to wear those specific hoods for the look, but it would work easily enough.
It actually shouldn’t be any more work than making any other helm slot item really.
And if you wanna be an Orc with Alleria’s locks, why not? Go for it!
Yep! Hooded locks for all!
I expect to be fully let down for any possible Belf Customization that isn’t what I want.
I have seen white hair requests for Void Elves pop up a bit, out of curiosity may I ask why?
Wouldn’t white hair fit an undead form of an elf more than a void elf? I am basing this assumption on the faded hair colors of Dark Rangers but mostly on Shadowlands Kael’thas.
Alleria’s hair turns white when she goes into Void Form.
Personally I want white hair both because Alleria’s hair turns white in her void form and it looks great, and also because I just like white hair on certain characters, particularly when trying to go for a more emo or gothic look (for which I’d also like a black hair option but we might actually be getting that).
Ah, so that is where it’s from.
Isn’t that part of her void form though
Is that a reason not to have it as an option?
It’s just that I’ve never really associated white hair with Void Elves. Personally the first thoughts that come to mind are undead elves and Nightborne.
I can only speak for myself but I associate black and white (both for skin and hair colors) with Void Elves primary because of their void theme.
The idea of the void just sucking the color out of something, leaving only white is an appealing concept to me.
Black is basically representative of an absence of light and therefore an absence of color. Again its a concept I find appealing and fitting to void themes.
