New Customization Options for Blood Elves and Void Elves

… wow. Blizz actually listened :o

Okay, not to be a downer or anything, but at this point, I honestly think it would just be better to remove Void elves and just give Blood elves to BOTH sides, making them neutral. It will probably even save time and effort as well.

And… there are probably going to be people later on that will complain about the hair for the Void elves as well.

Void Elves are already a thing and no one is removing them. lol

This is great news, thanks!

I’m aware.

I just think it would be better to make it a neutral race at this point now. Just an opinion though.

Suuuure dear, causer a skin tone and an eye color justifies giving Silvermoon et al territories to the Alliance.

Nice try, but no thanks. Belves thank god are more than an eye color.

I’d please like to ask a kind community manager to answer wether or not non-purple void elves will be able to be paladins?

Actually, BEs get the best, most customization, per the link the blue posted above.

It’s all good for the rp’ers who wanted HE’s though. It’s a win/win both sides.

I dunno. Considering that the blue eyes option was always labeled has a “player option” in the data files always made it fishy in the beginning.

To me it sounded like they wanted to just give blue eyes to blood elves in the beginning, got scared of the backlash, so lied about it and until they thought about a “compromise” that would make players happy

I would love (hate) to see all of the void elf hair options be dark red, dark grey, dark blue rather than something cheerful.

I would like to remind people that there are some who would like to play high elves without having succumbed to the void in canon or without being on horde. This isn’t that.

Here we see the road to shadowlands being paved with good intentions.

It’s just an opinion. No need to call me “dear” and throw in /s.

They are giving pretty much all the same customization to both Void elves and Blood elves besides hair color and hair options so it seems like it would be better just to make them neutral in my way of looking at it.

The Blue eyes started as an NPC option. Its only recently that it was shown as Player option.

That does make sense but it’s too late. VE’s are here.

No. In the files it said player option has soon has it was mined, even wowhead will tell you in the data mine and they were confused when ion said that wasn’t a player option.

At least you get what I’m saying
But yeah, as far as them removing Void elves, I know they wont.

I disagree, your “opinion” is basically to boot most of the Horde playerbase and to remove Horde exclusive territories and a capital so you guys can get free acess to our stuff.

As I said, Belves are more than an eye color. Hands off Belf stuff, if you covet it so much, then man/woman up and play a Belf on Horde.

In which universe taking mechanical gameplay stuff from a faction just to give it to the other “makes sense”? Are Alliance draenei going to become neutral and give to us access to their stuff too? No? Good. Then a mere customization option is NOT comparable to taking one core race from one of the factions and making it neutral, period.

This is a bad call. You are completely undermining the lore of void elves by making them virtually indistinguishable from blood elves outside a few hair tentacle options.

Please look at the recent fan creation of void elf customization posted on wowhead and other fansites, with void themed extra customizations, be they spike, N’zoth-like orange cat eyes, or further tentacle customizations and void-themed skin tones.

Don’t do this to void elves. Blue eyes is fine, but making them pink and brown skinned completely undermines the events of what made void elves, void elves.

only one thing: please give void-elves the choice of blonde, white, red, etc hair colours when not in void-form. i mean, alleria gets her normal hair-colour, i don’t see why velves can’t get theirs back too.

…also, give both a racial disengage. i mean, elves are supposed to be athletic right? why not give’em a backflip?.. but hey, that’s just my opinion.

Any chance that Void Elves will get the same ear options that Blood Elves are getting?

This isn’t a perfect solution, but unfortunately, with velves existing, the reality was there wasn’t going to be a perfect solution. I’d like to be an elf that was always in the Alliance, not someone that broke away, then sucked on demons, then sucked on void. I also want to be an anime stereotype with silver hair and violet eyes ala Vareesa. All that being said, I am super thrilled by this. This is 1000x better than, “High elves exist already. The Horde is waiting for you.” I really don’t care if the belves can have blue eyes as long as the Alliance can have something helfish.
