Yes of course! You need every blood elf hair color to go make it a full carpon copy of blood elf.
I think this step means they are probably throwing in the towel on any new Allied Races tbh.
Hello Linxy!
On the pictures you showed, Void Elves with fair skins currently also sport Blood Elf (red) underwear. Can you make sure that the devs do not just copy the Blood Elf textures wholesale, but actually modify them so Void Elves keep the correct blue underwear? Thanks!
Imma stop you right there. The void elves are very much defined by their blue skin. If you want to give them different skin colours, they really need to be within that realm of weirdness. Giving them normal flesh tones basically just makes them not look like void elves. Why is this important? Because it ends up implying in-story that void elves can not look like theyâve been affected by the Void device that transformed them. And that doesnât make much sense with what we saw in the introduction scenario for them, as well as Telogrus.
I understand this is a weird backdoor to creating high elves, but surely you can find another way or tinker with the UI for it all so that it doesnât impede on the void elf fantasy.
(yawns)
Thatâs nice, I guess. There would have been so many other interesting things to do though.
Only thing I want to see is give the void elves their own underwear color, like they have with their original skin instead of copy/pasting the current blood elf one.
alleria is the void elf fantasy
Reading some of these replies makes me giggle. After finally winning the campaign to RP as a High Elf, players are still sour and saying they are lazy ripoffs of Blood Elves. You won guys. Be happy. Be thankful.
I am. Itâs pretty great! Literally stopped me from unsubscribing and moving back to my old MMO full time.
You get a high elf, you get a high elf, everyone gets a high elf!
And for blood elves, moving past the devastation of their homeland, having green eyes and forging a new path forward is part of their racial identity. Blue eyes and high elves are and always were Alliance.
You got something from us and still arenât happy? At least all we got is to look like one of our own leaders.
I see it more as ânobody gets a high elfâ
Looking like a high elf will not change the fact that thereâs void and blood slapped in front of elf
My Void Elf HOLY priest would disagree.
How about hair color? Can Void Elves be blonde?
These options make me so happy.
Both sides get High Elf options as in Blizzards words the current races are High Elves that have gone down these paths leading to Blood and Void Elves.
While it may not be a separate lore background as some people want, this gives them the option to dress up and pretend it is if theyâre so inclined.
I have a question. How are city guards supposed to know the difference between Blood Elves and other Blood Elves? They will look exactly the same.
I think you mean high elves vs. their knock off, blood elves.
Iâm going to be smug for the next several weeks. I canât wait.
With as many customization options as other games have, tbh it was time for Blizz to bite the bullet and let people play as whoever they want even if it doesnât really make lore sense for Void Elves.
Just kidding.
Thank you for this Blizzard. I thought it was patently ridiculous that because of the outcry of people who know full well that Void Elves âwereâ the concession, that Blue eyes should be barred from Horde players. Especially since Gold and Green eyes get very bleh after a while. Crimson, and Purple eyes would be great additions too (for both sides)!
I get that people wanted High Elves. I do. But that isnât how the story was written. Your disappointed? So what? I was by Nazjatar. It happens. High Elf people screaming to keep this from Blood Elves are being petty and spiteful.
Frankly Iâm glad this matter is now laid to rest.
Now both sides can use it, as it should be. Let this be the end of the debate. You want a non-Void form corrupted Void Elf? Fine with me. But the Blood Elves are High Elves. Blood Elves are not a degraded corrupt version, they did not become something else. Void Elves did. Itâs in their very story. But both sides are still Elves of Thalassian descent.
They simply have different politics, like the Thalmor and the Dwemer.
If we could get a update on the direction Blizzard is going with Priests, Iâd be happy. ^^
