Well, I think Shadow needs to look for real proof on where it says lorewise that Void Elves are a new race.
After this last taking Blood Elf options and giving them to devolve Void ElvesâŚI agree.
( one reply ignored toxic content )
He literally never said they couldnât look normal or they couldnât stifle their Void affliction and magics.
Alleriaâs âVoidy Galâ transformation is completely selective on her behalf. Play through the Siege of Lordaeron to see that she can also fight without entropic embrace. SHeâs still a Void Elf even then, even though sheâs not fighting with it.
Itâs not. But even if it was, we have seen Genn fighting without his Worgen form. Does that mean he isnât Gilnean or he doesnât have the Worgen curse? No. Them being able to choose whether they want to be in Worgen form or not has literally no effect on anyone.
IS this coming from the same guy that tried using the âTwo dollsâ argument? I feel like youâre projecting. ITâs kind of seems clear that you only care about the visual aesthetic of a race. You canât seem to realize thereâs a lot more depth to them than just their appearance.
Except Void Elves did not evolved. How can Void Elves devolve if they havenât even evolved?
I would say that Void Elves fall under that same category as Orgrimmar Orcs and Lightforged Draenei. They arenât really a different race but rather have had a fundamental magical element introduced into their bodies which makes them differ from other Thalassians. I personally donât consider that making them a different race though.
If real world genetic testing existed in Azeroth, Iâd guess that theyâd still be considered Thalssian elves though probably fall under the category of a different ethnic background due to the changes the Void has wrought within them.
Iâd also say that Nightborne would technically be considered Night Elves but a different ethnicity due to changes wrought by time and exposure to the Nightwell.
Of course thatâs complete conjecture on my part.
Well, in the Warcraft Chronicles, it has been stated that Nightborne are a different race from the Night Elves.
I agree.
Well WoW writers seem to use the term âraceâ rather loosely. But hey if they say they are a different race, I wonât argue much.
What? All thatâs confirmed is skin tones. How is that 90% of what I wanted? I want a high elf ar with either druids or shaman as an option, with expanded lore for them. I never wanted to lump them in with void elves. How is skintones for void elves 90% of what I want?
EXACTLY THIS!
Many on the anti side didnât want us to get an inch. And they see skin color as us getting a mile and fear us getting anything more. So they oppose any requests for more with great fervor.
Iâm just sad there is still not news on Undead BE / Dark Ranger aesthetic customization. I want the player agency to decide Iâm a recently fallen loyalist who was raised in the fourth war!
And news to finally explicitly say âyes the new recruits do encompass the High Elf Wayfarers in the riftâ.
Then I will be happy, personally speaking for myself of course.
That would be so dopeee!! I would def make an undead dark ranger on the Horde.
Agreed. I want in-game lore saying that some High Elves are joining the Void Elves. And I also want Darkfallen customization options for Blood Elves so they can be Sanâlayn or Dark Rangers. It seems like such an easy win for Blizzard. The work is already done. All they need to do is flag it for player use.
It does affect me, who are you to declare otherwise?
Rest of your post has been responded to before.
Bleeding purple, having tentacles, not being connected to a sunwellâŚ
SO ion says âwe did void elves because high elves would look too similarâ means to you âvoid elves can look like high elves even though this would completely contradict what I just stated.â.
More than likely a bug given every other time she has ever engaged in combat, including the three sisters fight, she turns voidy girl.
Just like when people claimed Jaina directly killed blood elves due to a bug with the game. This is just reaching on your part.
WellâŚ
- You arenât in a position to say who it does, or does not affect.
- He wolfâs out when he fights. The situations you refer to are those where he literally is doing the bare minimum.
3.By lore, Worgen transform when fighting, just like Alleria does when fighting .
That word does not mean what you think it does.
Hey guys, the aesthetics of a race are completely unrelated to the races in the game. Clearly, orcs are just green human.
Trying to use an argument of lore to institute a change that affects the aesthetic of race which is a gameplay matter, is just nonsense in itself.
Lore arguments belong in lore.
Gameplay design, like aesthetics, involve matters of faction uniqueness.
Otherwise, if you were truly genuine in your thoughts and not merely looking for an exception, you would ask for the faction boundary to go away entirely.
This would be my last desire for belf customization⌠I have plansâŚ
Absolutely this would be so welcome!
So, can we say that High Elves and Blood Elves are a different race, considering using Fel Magic changed them as well?
I still think this is possible, it may just be a while before we hear anything. Unless Iâm mistaken there really hasnât been any new news on customizations for anyone lately.
I have a feeling it wouldnât get the same kind of major announcement on the forums. Weâd either see it pop up from datamining as a player option, or it will be in a larger announcement or reveal closer to release of the expansion.
Also, even if itâs not in this first round of new customizations, thereâs nothing to say it still couldnât be added later on. Keep carrying that torch, dude, cheering you on!
Well, let us compare.
Still bleeds red.
No physiological changes besides eye glow.
Still connected to the sunwell just like high elves.
NopeâŚcanât say it.
For being a lore hound you donât seem to care for it.
Correct me if Iâm wrong but wasnât there something like red eyes for blood elves that were datamined?
There was, but it wasnât clear whether or not it was going to be usable by players. Iirc it was flagged as an NPC option.
But then I guess the blue eyes were also at first so who knows?
