Only part of the new animation that is good is the cone that shows where the ability hits. Thunder crashing from the skies on each enemy felt way more impactful than the blue wave we have now. New jump animation also just feels out of place. Why change a spec that already looked and felt satisfying?
It did not look or feel satisfying at all before. What we have now looks far, far better. Jumping and slamming down both weapons is awesome and also feels awesome, the lightning looks way cooler, and the sound effect is better. The old animation was trash, and lightning didn’t come from the sky either lol it came from like 1 ft above the characters head, it looked terrible.
During a rotation the new spell animation looks out of place. The backspin seemed functional and cool looking. Maybe as a singular spell, the new animation looks okay but within the rotation it looks out of place and underwhelming.
Honestly just not a huge fan of crash in general and I think it kinda sucks that we’re forced into it with this tier
I kinda felt the same way when I first saw it but I can see myself learning to like it. One thing that really bothers me though — is that if you’re moving, the spell effect actives where you jumped in the animation, not where u land. So if you’re running in a straight line and crash lightning, the effect will appear behind u. Makes it feel really janky.
That and they need to revert the range to what it was like two patches ago, it makes the spell feel a lot better to use and that was like the only time I wasn’t a complete crash lightning denier.

It’s better than the old one.
It feels much better with tier imo, but the fact it needs tier to be good is kind of sad. It got a 200% buff this patch and still sucks lmao, the tier buffs it by a further 175% and only then is it actually good.
I do agree the range should prob increase on it a bit.
