Can you name those BIS items?
Prof trend started with DF so it has to be before that.
Shadowlands legendaries do not count.

i just dont like the fact that we cant do quality options on personal orders, for the love of god let me put in a personal order for highest rank, i hate having to seek out people to do this crap when there is already a system in place so we dont have to do it.
The system is fine.
The problem is that Blizzard didn’t test any of it so it is still riddled with exploits, so if you’re genuinely looking to make gold with the system, you better have exploited.
Right now, the system seems to be basically a promo to buy gold tokens so you can keep up. I love crafting but even I find it tedious. Some part are better, I like concentration, but I don’t love how nothing about it is fixed, nor is there any specifics on what to do when you roll orders you have no recipes for.
I’ve gotten an order for knowledge for a recipe from the raid. Like, lol. Really? Limit what NPCs can ask for, and figure out the exploits, clear out exploited acuity from the market, clear out exploited recipes, etc. But they won’t do anything because again, this will sell Blizzard so many gold tokens, it’s beneficial for them to keep it bad.
It was terrible in Dragonflight It’s terrible now
What made it terrible in Dragonflight?
Same stuff that makes it terrible now.
And that is…?
Needless bottle necking of profession gear. Needing profession gear at all. No catch up systems (Something they said they were working on, but I don’t see it). No way to change if you screw something up. If you did screw something up the profession is likely just dead to you. Needing to waste mats to create things you and no one else needs to get points to advance trees that are potentially hundreds of points deeps. Needlessly complicated crafting with various ranking of every item involved. Patron orders you can’t fulfill, so the limited number you get are completely wasted IDK man the list goes on and on it’s not a good, fun, or intuitive system.

This has been a feature of wow professions since literal day 1 of vanilla.
Not to this extend <3
The current design is clearly to support token sales as Blizzard knows only a few players will be willing to invest the time required to get ahead with professions, and that those few who do will be expecting a large payoff for doing so, one that most players won’t be able to afford absent buying gold.
Or designing the game around the Whales that are willing to drop $100 a month or more on tokens.
I agree, after coming back after not playing for a few years I find the professions ridiculous. I don’t bother with them anymore
New crafting system is pretty cool and I like it quite a lot.
What I dont like is for recipes to be locked behind acuity, for tools to be locked behind acuity and KP being locked behind acuity.
Patron orders are usually absolutely terrible.
Public orders cant set an ilvl requirement, yet personal and guild can.
Tldr: I enjoy my crafting tree and progression to new recipes and skill ups. I dont enjoy the insane timegating by Blizz.
Pretty much the only thing I don’t like about the new profession system, is that KP is timegated. Literally everything about this game is timegated now, gear, quests, and even professions lol.
I wouldn’t mind the new system if there wasn’t such a chokehold over mats, I’ve only ever found 2 profaned tinderboxes since I started the expansion
I wish they would allow this, and allow you to list a recrafting order like a normal work order, having to find someone can be a real nightmare, and even when you do, and provide all the mats, they will still sometimes demand an outrageous tip, only found one person that will do a recraft after 3 days of searching and they want 30k, even with me providing all the mats. Sorry but I will keep looking for someone more reasonable.
