if you live in a 12x12 studio apartment all the windows and mirrors on the walls won’t change it’s size 
I just wish mages had, y’know. A direct portal/teleport spell for Kara. It makes so much sense, but they don’t…

Probably because that would remove some of the uniqueness from the original Atiesh from vanilla (it could open a portal to Kara).
Besides, Horde mages get Portal: Stonard which is so close it’s basically the same. Alliance have Stormwind which is a hop and skip away.
make it so i can get on my mage alt, summon a portal and then get on other characters to use it.
there was a portal to karazhan in the dalaran’s chamber of the guardian for the 2 years of legion. along with other useful portals. that didn’t seem to bother anyone about the uniqueness of a staff from WotLK (not vanilla)
Seems like it’d be better as a thing to make Inscription more useful, e.g. Scroll of Town Portal: Stonard or something. But is it really that bad to tap a mage chilling in Ogremart or Atal’dazar on the shoulder and ask for a port?
True and I agree, but to be fair those portals were lot more important during Legion than they are now.

Do the legion Karazhan questline. You’ll receive a ring that allows you to teleport to Karazhan.

You can do that. It takes 2 accounts. A mage on one account can open portals for characters on the other account.
To do a warlock summons takes 4 accounts, but a warlock can summon anywhere.
Can always get the ring so next time we go there you got a more direct path. Or did they remove it?
I really have a hard time believing you found it a bigger inconvenience to literally just go there instead of opening the forums and creating a whole topic on it.
They added back caverns of time, and they have the blasted lands portal as far as I’m aware. I don’t get what you’re lamenting the loss of.
This is the correct answer. You get the quest from Blackrock Mountain, which is like a 90 sec flight to Kara.
Make Inscription useful? And undo all the work Blizz has done to make it irrelevant?

Been playing classic where there is no portals unless a mage makes one. Been liking it better tbh.
If you weren’t lazy you would have gotten the legendary staff from kara in classic and just used it to port there
