I feel like the boards for this game is primarily used for complaints, and as someone who was very upset about the previous version of this ability I wanted to say a big thanks to blizz for reworking it so quickly!
So far, it works!! I know that sounds like a strange way to praise it, but I used to pvp with the old one, and often, Slam was a better use of my GDC over conq banner. That’s an absolutely massive improvement.
I’d like to read what other players are discovering what works well in pvp with it! So far it’s been fun chasing down affliction warlocks and resto shaman!
What do you guys think so far?

it is a welcome rework but considering how much feedback was given about how unusable it was in beta, i won’t celebrate bliz finally getting up to do what they get paid for

On my warrior alt who is Necrolord covenant. I think it’s a lot better than before and with me being single fury minded. The movement speed stacks is nice. However she is not highly geared so I cannot really give the best feedback, but damage wise is noticeable especially with onslaught critical hits.
The way I see it is
Kyrian and Night Fae = Damage and CC control for pvp.
Venthyr = Just pretty much focus damage for pvp.
Necrolords = Damage and support for pvp.
Depends on your soul bind setup as well, but overall all covenant for warriors has a place in pvp. It’s whatever suits your style at this point.
Slam being better. Oh God. It was really bad.
Mostly the 15 yard range was what ruined it. Just brandishing it would be enough of a change. On a target dummy built up an 8.7k mortal strike vs a 6.6k one without it. I don’t know how target dummies translate to pvp or even pve but seems like every attack will get a nice little damage boost in the 15 seconds of the buff which is great compared to the old drop the banner, maybe get an attack, have to move out.
I tried it in RBGs last night and it was solid. You + a rogue in a smoke bomb with it up is murder. Or if you have a DK grip then pop it. Surprisingly the re-work to fleshcraft was super noticable. I usually run emblem (the +health trink) so i pop that or rally (or both) then cast a full fleshcraft. Gave me about a 32K sheild. Which is hilarious.

ran it last night in raid and felt pretty good honestly.
the stacking haste on kill soulbind feels amazing in m+ on fury and reck + banner together generating 12 rage a second feels kinda silly and great
gonna be first necrolord war in on a mdanny kill. history in the making lol

I want the 20% stam back.
We’re you Venthyr before? Hate to lose condemn but the necrolord overall package seems really well rounded.
What legendary you running in RBGs vs arenas as necro?
Honestly swapped from kyrian to NL just today, don’t regret it. The new flesh craft just puts a defensive option in place which helps their kit so much.
Banner is great fury generation too however I wish instead of mastery it was maybe haste or vers.
I was kyrian, i liek spear but the spell can be wonky and ends up in a tree sometimes. Condemn is still better for 2’s. Dont have my battlelord to 235 yet but it will be battlelord 90% of the time. Unhinged for heavy stacking comps.
Now we’re still bottom tier and the flag lost its ability to give us more HP. As a DPS that’s a nerf as far as defensive cooldowns go.
I tended to use it when I needed more hp and rallying cry was on cooldown. I don’t like the change. I want the 20% stam back.
And no salt 100% honestly it looked way cooler before. There was a green misty aura. Now I’m running around with this stupid purple flag on my back.
How does this go from being a cool pve groupwide ability to being nerfed into oblivion to being turned strictly into a 3v3 arena ability?
I don’t intend this to be mean or anything, but banner was complete garbage before. The new version combined with the buff to fleshcraft makes it way more viable in arena/rbg/and raids/m+ which is pretty significant.
As a devoted hipster, Im a little disappointed I missed my chance to play necro warrior when it was frowned upon. I was just too memed out on my SV hunters, I really wanted my pvp prot warriors to not be too gimped.
I disagree with m+ and maw. I liked using it to get more HP.
