I just don’t really like the 2070. It’s barely better than the 2060, and not even close to the 2080. Therefore it feels odd in the stack. They either made the 2060 too strong or the 2070 too weak. Only CPUs worth buying: Ryzen 2 2200g Ryzen 5 2600 Ryzen 7 2700x i5-8600k/i5-9600k i7-8700k/i7-9700k i9-9900k Only GPUs worth buying: RX 570 RX 580 Vega 56/64 if on sale RTX 2060 RTX 2080 RTX 2080 ti Everything else seems like poor choices given the alternatives.

You’ll want to wait a few months then. You can still get top of the line under $900 for gaming by the summer. Today a top of the line processor will eat 2/3 of your budget.

BF will have some pretty good deals.

I picked up a Ryzen 5 1600 + X370 motherboard for $149 last bf. Perhaps when Ryzen 3000 launches there will be similar deals on the 2000 series next bf
