New Classes?

I think there should be a lot more tank and Healing specs.

Shaman Tank Hits home for me but what about a Hunter tank pet special skill and move tree?

A Priest Tank who uses massive bubbles and minor ones for allies the ability to build up the bubble cause the HP is actually low and you will get one shot if not for your bubble. Throw in some Light based damage for aggro and boom.

Tinker Class But it’s a brand-new style MECHSUIT that is only suitable for the Vertically impaired ha-ha Vulpera Gnomes Dwarves and goblins… Reason being it takes a full body to withstand the mental load and elves are either to large or to incompatible cause of their deep ties to magic. You could have a healing spec and tank sppec and a dps spec ,

Drops could be new pieces for your Mechsuit…

Any other Tank classes you can think of How about healing ones?

The only cloth class that you could make an argument for tank is warlock

No, what priest needs is a holy light themed damage spec. Not support like augmentation… but an actual damage spec that is holy instead of shadow. There needs to be something for players who want to be the holy light priest fantasy in solo content, cause the only light themed specs priest has is healing and healing specs are terrible in solo content

I do think tinker will be the next class but it should not be race exclusive

The concept of a tinker engineer is not unique to smaller races. There are literally NPCs called “dracthyr tinker” for example

give mage a melee dps spec

This. I’m switching to paladin because I’m tired of playing shadow when I do solo content, which is how I spend most of my time. Holy priest is my favourite spec/theme in the game.

I personally want some sort of dark healers.

Maybe a warlock who heals using their health bar as the resource and they drain life and have dots such as siphon life to refill their health bar.

Another dps healer could be a sort of blood healer, build blood as a resource by attacking and then using the blood siphoned to heal the group.

A shadow/void based healer would be nice. Not quite sure how, but I want it.

I’d love to have a “ice and shadow” casting class or spec. Not fire and ice, not fire and shadow… ice and shadow.

I concur, Gandalf was basically a mage (wizard) who used a sword.

It’s a damn shame that not all races have paladins, which is the biggest problem with “just play paladin” arguements people have against holy light dps priest spec

Do I want to be a dracthyr paladin of the Tyr’s guard? Hell yes. Especially after the silver scale questline from Dragonflight

I also know there are people who wanna be Worgen followers of the light or orc lok osh or pandaren priests who call upon the August celestials or to be champions of them in a way that differs from monks.

In an ideal world, priests would have a shadow healing spec and a holy light damage spec

Paladin isn’t ideal to me because I prefer to play casters. I’ve accepted the compromise that my paladin is melee, because at least I can still use the holy light while soloing. I also don’t like the way healing feels on paladin. Healing is my favourite role and holy priest is my favourite style.

Maybe spirit/ghost wolf themed shaman tank spec? A earth themed shaman tank spec would be cool too.

I think a healing tinker spec for hunters would fit, it would be like Brann in the delves.

You want to deny me the glory of a Draenei riding a Vigilant mech?

Shame on you and your kin.

In more serious topics, we only really need one more each of Plate, Mail, and Leather.

Plate is easy, Spellblades have been a major thing in wow lore since WC3 and it’s insane that the closest we can get is either Paladin or Enhancement Shaman.

Spellblades would have a Tank spellbreaker spec with a shield and one-handed weapon (Including Warglaves.) A Melee DPS that uses a shield, and a two handed Melee DPS.

Eventually they’d be available to all races, bit initially they’d be available to Blood Elves, Nightborne, Forsaken, Humans, Void Elves, and Draenei. The lore hook is with the Kiran Tor stepping down as the world’s magic police, many of their members feel called to take up arms for personal reasons.

Mail goes to Tinker by default. Tinkers need gun access, guns have agility, and Leather is already full. Plus being mail lets their tier sets be designed like Iron Man armor.

Tinker’s specs would be a mech riding Tank, an explosive expert DPS, and a mad scientist healer.

To start with they’d be available to Dwarves, Gnomes, Draenei, Orcs, Goblins, and Forsaken (And all allied race variants of course) There’s no need for a race specific mech, since we have a billion and one mech mounts they can use, so eventually it would open up to everyone as well.

Cloth is a tricky one. I genuinely can’t think of a new class for cloth that wouldn’t step on better classes toes, unless maybe we wanted to replace Shadow Priest with a holy DPS and make a new class for shadow magic.

Balancing is an absolute nightmare right now, so I’m not exactly for it. Especially not a new class at freaking all.

However adding a tank to shaman wouldn’t be the end of the world.

After sod, I’d really like to see rogue tank make its way to retail. I like the idea of a tank using parries vs dodges, soaks, or shields.

They were the worst tanks of all though.

Would have been a good time to introduce a spellbreaker spec.

Personally I’d love a ranged DPS Monk thematically akin to Dragonball Z.

Maybe now. Check the one Updated 23 Jul 2024

You know, when people actually played sod.

Seems like you didn’t realize the last raid for sod released in April of 2025.

You know. Phase 8? The Scarlet Monastery raid? People still played Sod heavily until they announced that phase 8 was the last update.

If you are going to be condescending, at least try to know what you are talking about lol.

Herald of Xotli from Age of Conan kinda vibes would be AWESOME for a melee mage.
Imagine a fire mage had a baby with an arms Warrior.

It was unadulterated burst damage, and it was incredible.
