something outside of the box like samurai could work in wow most likely with the pandaren and such a playstyle like is ff14s samurai of charging up sword attacks and unleashing them would be fun to see in wow
and really just thinking outside of the box when it comes to new classes
Or blizz could bring things people like in FFXIV into WoW. If people really are leaving in droves like GD would like you to believe, I could totally see that happening.
It would be nice, or a different mechanical twist on a preexisting class. Black Desert just got their new Corsair class - a piratey themed that looks like a hybrid between a water caster and rapier swordsman.
I’d love to see new ideas other than the same ole bard/nerco/tinker talk
I am at the point where I would love to see them adopt the same designee philosophy.
AKA make content that people will enjoy and not just toss in 30 systems and other fillers.
I don’t think we need a new class, I would rather have new specs for existing classes.
A new spec is essentially a new class with the added benefit of 1) being easier to scale up and handle over multiple expansions since it won’t just bloat the entire game out as quickly as a 3 spec class would, and 2) would actually fit better into the fantasy of the game instead of just adding new classes for the sole purpose of adding new classes.
Mages could get a chronomage spec, hunters could get munitions spec (ie range survival), maybe warriors could get some sort of duelists spec focused on sword and board dps, etc.
idk there just seems to be more space to introduce some fun new gameplay in the context of the current classes.
The only new class that I think would really make sense is a tinkerer class that had tank, dps, and healer specs using a variety of different tech, e.g., turrets, mechsuits, med bombs and darts. That would be really cool and I don’t think wow capitalizes on some of the cool steampunk aspects of the game enough.
They are. I’d think so too if not for guild discords I’m in talking about realms they’re playing on.
It’s sad, but it’s inevitable. That game is improving and taking hints from gw2 and wow, meanwhile wow sticks to same old and won’t provide casual playerbase with anything to do.
And on other end, competitive players got miniscule amount of rewards to chase that are cosmetic and not a temporary gear gain that resets next patch.
