I cannot think of a name for the class, but I believe one that has potential would be one that uses telekinesis. A perfect example would be Ebony Maw from the MCU

Aren’t mages basically telekinetic? They make stuff move with magic. Whatever blood elves do to make those brooms move around.
What like a psionic? maybe mindflayers can be the new race.

That’s how I see it, and was what I’ve thought of before.
Something like pink spells, telekinesis, etc. We see some themes of it with other classes too but it’d be pretty cool.

They are animated and given basic commands with arcane magics. Not really maintained like telekinetics would have to be.
Can I take over my raid group and convert them into mindflayers so they too can enjoy the hivemind? I totally wouldn’t betray them and make them jump off a platform.

What about the city of Dalaran as a different example? That thing has to be floating through some sort of maintained telekinesis, right? I thought that was being done by mages or something.
Iirc it’s the giant crystals, you even have a legion quest to defend them, forget which class but probably mage.
For long distance shenanigans, it gets teleported.

Reading through this i now want:
Mindflayer(s) as a class or race that heavily uses telekinetic powers.
or
an overhall change to Arcane mage that allows for spells to be telekinetic in nature.
OR
Another mage spec that is a TANK spec that is focused on telekinesis for defensive abilities as well as slows, knockback and physical damage.
I’m really wanting the last one now that I thought of it.

COMMENTARY: Honestly always preferred Wizards over jedi simply cause you can visually see what’s going on.
Ebony maw invisible magic is meh.
STATEMENT: Wildstar had a telekinesis class through Espurr… they made all their spells cyan color
Alakazam in WoW was my first thought, yes I would like to teleport to any flight point location at will. Pvp would be fun too, pick up a player and toss them over a cliff.
