I immediately have a problem with this, in that the weapons don’t match the outfits at all.
Not reading the post/article I guess.
Minor Pet Peeve, but why do these class weapons all share the same names as the class sets when they’re clearly aesthetically different?
The most evident one is Rogue’s “Blood Onyx Blades”, none of which feature any blood nor onyx lmfao.
- The Shortblade and Serrated Edge have clearly been designed to match the Rogue’s Mythic Tier 20 Tomb of Sargeras set, which is called “Fanged Slayer’s Armour” .
- As for the “Blood Onyx Impaler”? It’s literally blue & silver.
Does the person who named these also get Blue Eyes White Dragon and Red Eyes Black Dragon mixed up?
Respect the artists who made these and name them appropriately, also it’s just tripping out my OCD because there are passable mistakes, and then there are these.
Well now nobody gets a real full set, happy now?
Well that’s a hideous priest set. I’ll pass.
I don’t even like that helm as shadow :c
Agree! Love that staff, but the armor itself was kinda ???
These look so cool. I wonder if the three items are sold separately or as a bundle.
lmao!
warlock set looks childish
I think they look amazing.
Druid staff might be the best of the bunch, but Warlock stuff looks nice.
Only thing I would change about the Druid staff is change the two blue crystals to a glowing blood red gem. It’d look amazing and remind us of the Emerald Nightmare. Plus, it’d just fit the fall colors better than sky blue or baby blue crystals.
Warriors get herods gear, thats fine, why the hell did paladins have to have scarlet themed gear, there are a couple of sets here I can see will match stuff that is already in the game, any bfa robe will go with the priests set, the druid set is basically a tiger changed from the owl of the nighthold set the warlock shoulder are so nondescript that without the helm and belt would probably go on loads of stuff. the problem we have is the artists cant decide on a palette. If stuff matched better this wouldnt be an issue.
I’m hoping that there’s other colors that come with it. An alternative, more traditional pally color set of these weapons was datamined previously: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FLC0QU4xXKg
Wouldn’t put it past them adding these other colour schemes through something like new mage tower rewards, or something else.
Paladins should be fine though, they’ve already got a big hammer to match their Judgement T2 set through the Holy Artifact weapon
Obviously aesthetics are subjective. Most of these sets are going to be hated by some and loved by others. Some seem to be designed around an idea of replacing pieces on past sets to update the looks. Others have very unique new visuals. The priest set is very unique and people like me love it.
Then there is the Hunter set, which looks like a derpy ostrich head with a turkey wattle tied together at the neck like a chin strap. The shoulders look like the bird’s intestines were used as a framework to hold short arrows and then decorated with the feathers plucked from the bird’s tail.
Every one of these sets is hit or miss, based on who you ask, but the Hunter set is overwhelmingly hated. I really hope you change your minds and come up with something better.
Everyone’s thinking it but I’m going to say it. Your artists suck. They suck at animation, they suck at creating armor sets, they suck at cinematography. For a long time we used to say that the artists were the only thing good about the game. That time has passed.
I’m sorry to be so harsh, but at the end the day we’re paying you for a product and we hold you to a standard. That standard is not being met by your artists.
So … are these being described as sets when they’re just shoulders, a belt, and a helm?
I hate showing the helm, for the most part so that’s one piece down.
I really don’t like the flappy belt options either. In fact, I think none of my current transmogs use it. On any class. One more piece down.
So it ends up being just shoulders? Hmm. Oh well?
Yo, Blizz, real talk now, why are you doing PARTIAL sets lol
So, very important question.
Are these going to be available every Sept-Dec cycle or is it at random intervals like the other TP stuff?
Cause I’m sure I and a lot of other altoholics who have many different classes would like to know to plan accordingly. I love the Trading Post but I’m finally starting to feel like I can’t afford to buy everything I want each month even with freezing. With regular items there’s always a chance they might come back but there’s no clarification if these Sets are going to be available cyclically.
Why are they incomplete? That’s not a set, it’s head/shoulders/belt.
