Blizzard Should add Blood Mages to WOW. I don’t want them in private servers or anything like that. I would want them in public servers in retail WOW. Blood mages could be really really useful to WOW and maybe very strong.

Crip mages are like Blood mages, but they wear blue and hang out near the other Inns on the other side of Stormwind.
Both are notorious of Blink by Ice Lancing Spams over Mage School dorms.

OP please humor me for a bit.
What would a Blood Mage do different than a normal mage in game.
And I’m saying MECHANICS wise.
Saying: “It’s like a mage but they use blood” is not a valid idea.
Fire mages have all of the blood mage spells already except Siphon Mana which was the blood elf racial and Banish which warlocks have. There’s nothing left to make a blood mage class out of.

Blood mages exist in wow, you see 3 of em in blasted lands.
Blood elves are just edgy an name blood after everything.
It’s a reference too gangs in the hoods.

would be interesting if a class found a way to manipulate anima in the living plane, although you could see some future lore surrounding healing spells revealing that they all manipulate the flow of anima.
Blood mage would make a decent support spec, similar to wc3 making enemies vulnerable to magic damage then going a bit deeper into anima and blood magic offering leech, shields (like dark pact) or even go a bit more complex and allow them to destroy / enhance allied minions coming from BM/Demo. Sort of like if a bm hunter wants to have a herd of devourers they’d need a blood mage to convert their minions.
Ideally if they expand on the concept of support specs there will be some made for specific synergies, I think augmentation being broadly applicable is just a trait of it being the first defined support spec since vanilla wow.

Kael’thas was a Blood Mage. His abilities are all kind of put into the Fire mage tree now.
WoW’s version of a ‘blood mage’ is more of a fusion of warlock/fire mage, not a mage that squirts blood at people.

considering blood magic normally falls under necromatic magic, wouldn’t that just be a necromancer spec?
I don’t know how many, but the main quest giver blood mage in Blasted Lands is named Kasim Sharim and he uses several spells related to blood magic also.

There is a good chance the blood mage might be a concept for Midnight. Hard to see what can be offered for Quel’thas. 
Kael’thas has the chance to become those blood mages around the Venthyr.

That is correct. I’m only considering the chances as Kael’thas or Sylvanas will be the mascot for Midnight and what they should offer and can become.
