Tinkerer: mail armor: ranged, tank, healer: guns/bows/crossbows
Uses mechanical turrets and devices to deal damage to enemies or heal allies.
Tank: the tinkerer puts on an exosuit (similar to shapeshifting for druids) which gives increased stamina and armor and increased chance to block with his exosuit attached shield. Similar idea of the GMOD mount in a way.
The tank Uses his exosuit and turrets and mechanical robots to taunt, give the party buffs for reducing incoming damage and CCIng enemies.
Ranged: using mechanical AI and his trusty gun, the tinkerer shoots at enemies from range. Turrets deal massive damage and periodically buffs the tinkerers own damage delt
Healer: the healers gun turns into a healing ray-gun. utilizing robots and his ray-gun, the healer can top allies off with healing abilities and robots that patrol the battlefield and heal the wounded.
I imagine this class using turrets like totems and than robots like pets that auto heal/buff/damage with cooldowns etc. using a lot of the theme from engineering profession.
And ppl will complain about balancing the classes with ANOTHER class is bad idea. But blizz can’t balance the current game anyways so might as well add some fun classes to keep things fun, and broken. Why not
