So I wanted to set up a banker in my account so I created a new dwarf and had it start in the gnome area, however I have to run all the way to Gnomergan and maybe even Stormwind to get to a good bank/auction spot.
Are there any races/classes that already start in the big city and don’t require you to go through the whole intro/tutorial thing?
Humans can run straight from Northshire Abbey to Stormwind. 3-5 minutes, maybe. Nothing simpler than that.
A couple of Allied Races start in the capital at level 10, if you have unlocked them, but I can’t remember which starts there and which has a prequel. Vulpera start in orgrimmar. Earthen take 5-10 minutes to get into the world. So do Void Elves and Dark Iron Dwarves.
I’d say just go with Human.
Pandaren Death Knight don’t have to do the DK intro or anything, they get sent straight to the capital after a quick talk with Bolvar apparently.
It’s why all the spam / afk toons you see in capital cities are Pandaren Death Knights…lol.
Also, you start at level 10 which is an additional convenience over human.
