I would love for players to have the OPTION to use new character models in Fresh Classic.
Only the player who chooses that option would see them, so if you like the Classic models you wouldn’t see a difference.

I thought they had already tried a toggle for the models and it had issues?
While I like some of the new models I really dislike the animations that come with them.

The way the rigging works won’t allow this. Note how different the animations are in retail. Basically they’d have to keep around two entire sets of models/animations/etc for it to work. It’s just one of the reasons why they removed old models from retail.
You could choose the model you wanted in wod.

Modders have already been adding HD models since Wow Classic. If a simple modder can do it, so can wow devs.

Just because it has a choice for better quality character models does not diminish experience. +Wotlk classic =/= wotlk. It’s not the classic experience already.

Aesthetics are typically one of smaller issues people require from the earlier versions. For example I love the new water but I would freak out if they started changing combat.

No. Hunchbacked orcs represent both the lore and players who roll them.
