Maxing my graphics is important to me, I want a beautiful and vibrant experience when I play. I’ve built a new system that I’m receiving within a week and I want to know, from more experienced people, how it’ll handle WoW in it’s current state and the upcoming expansion.
Case: Corsair Carbide Series Spec-Omega tempered glass ATX red/black
Motherboard: B450 Gaming pro carbon AC w/DDR4-2666, 7.1 audio, GB Lan, 802.11ac, B.T 5.0, crossfire
CPU: Ryzen 7 3700x 3.6ghz 36MB cache
Storage: Western Digital Blue 500GB SSD
Memory: 16GB (2x8) vengeance LPX ddr4 3200mhz kit
Graphics card: GeForce RTX 2070 super windforce 3x OC 8GB
PSU: TX series TX750M semi-modular 80+ gold power supply 750W
Motherboard is optional but could grab a nice x570 ASRock board (steel legend or taichi),
I currently use the x470 taichi with a 2700x, board is great and couldn’t recommend any other brand, use a Vega Frontier (similar performance of the rtx 2070 non super). Have no problems in 1440p or 4k, just recently did a world boss raid at uldum and had no sub 30 fps drops during the fight (you’re bound to have fps drops no matter what price you spend)
Maybe grab a cheap 2 TB hard drive for extra storage, for any games you don’t care playing often maybe, WD hard drive preference
PSU is fine, could always get a seasonic but it’s not needed
If you think you might ever want to upgrade your CPU get an X570 MB since AMD’s new processors will only be getting bios support for X570 and of course the new 550 MB’s.
Obviously the socket would fit. However AMD is not going to push bios updates that will allow them to work on the other boards. So anyone who said that was not correct.
You can do a search to see that this has already been announced.
“Support untill 2020” as in, January 1st 2020. Even I knew this a year or two ago
Hint the word: perhaps
This was a July 2019 post
It’s also up to the motherboard manufacturers now, AMD claimed their offical compatibility chart says the 3000 series would never be on a320. Well guess what, motherboard manufacturers did
All depends on restrictions now
People are ignoring the fact what they said about “offical support till 2020” not throughout 2020
This kind of info will be ignored regardless on here though
