I started building a new build using the Aorus X870 mobo. PC turns on, yet I get this error that I can’t get rid of. Yesterday I was booted to the bios and that’s it but today the monitor isn’t even getting a signal.
I’m new to building a pc and I’m starting to lose my patience. I’ve read that you can Q flash bios update but this is a little over my head. I got USB drive downloaded driver on to it, formatted it properly but it’s not working.
Should I smash the motherboard? I feel like this is the only option at this point. Anyone else have this issue?
it could be a number of things but usually related to the CPU and/or memory if you see that error and without your full specs it’s hard to narrow anything down
I would go through these steps
- make sure the mobo supports the CPU & ram
- make sure the PSU 24pin and CPU power are properly connected
- make sure the CPU is properly seated along with the HSF or block
- make sure the ram is properly seated
- try booting with one ram stick in stock settings
as for the Q flash, it’s actually really easy on today’s mobos and youtube is filed with how to videos
The problem with the q flash videos is they tell you to download the bios, put it on usb, rename the file.
Nobody says which file to rename and rename it to what.
anything you want although I don’t think I ever renamed a BIOS file when I flashed BIOS just made sure it was the only file on the USB
