New brawl now live: Cooking Impossible

Starting a thread for discussion on the first of the new brawls which is now live: Cooking Impossible.

I’ve only played one so far and was a bit confused as to what to do, but one game was all it took to get an idea of what to do.

It’s basically capture the flag but with vegetables.

Oh that makes sense!

Wait, no it doesn’t.

What?

You have to bring vegetables that you pick up from the ground to the pot to finish the stew. The first to 20 vegetables finishes their stew and wins the game.

I’m quite liking it based on two games (50% win rate thus far!)

20 veggies?

Sounds like something Nomi would try to cook and pass off as good eats.

Are these random spawning veggies and what’s the map?

Nomi is the MC.

I’ll get back to you in about 45 minutes after my queue for it pops.

This BG is a joke, flat out joke. How on the earth blizzard thought this would be fun is beyond belief. If I want to watch cooking I’ll watch one of the cooking shows on TV.

Stupidest BG to date.

So…you don’t like it or what?

It’s shiza. Plus I want the damn PVP vendor back WITH trinkets/rings! This stupid BG is giving me 340 gear for achievement, what a colossal waste of time!

What do you find different to it compared to Warsong or Twin Peaks?

its better then the arena brawls but it doesn’t beat winter ab warsong scramble or deep six

Have a melee cleave camp the other guy’s pot and you win.

Wait wait wait wait…

So it’s the mine side event from Ashran, only with food?

I’m in. sounds fantastic.

Also: Wait what? two brawl weeks back to back? What is this madness?

And how is this any different to melee cleaves camping the flag room? Just curious as to why people already don’t like it when the similarities to two of the most popular maps are quite high.

It’s easier to return to the pots from a graveyard than the flags are in those other maps. When designed, every BG should take into consideration how soon dead players return to an objective. It’s also a problem with Seething Shore.

Best way I could explain this Brawl would be Warsong Scramble with the flag posts next to each other instead of opposite ends, and the Seething Shore air drop respawn mechanic.

The notion of “cooking food” to win a BG is ridiculous! (And stupid).

Ding ding. Plus the fact you gotta “cook” food to win. I’m not here to cook food, I’m here to destroy hordies.

You need to eat to keep your stamina up though.

I do that by beating the snot out of horde on the very RARE chance I get them 1 v 1.

I like novelty game modes. Scratch that. I like well-designed novelty game modes. This does not seem to be one of those. 30 minute queue for something brand new seems to imply I’m not alone in that judgement.
