I’m a new monk player and a total noob when it comes to WoW. I don’t really know what keybinds to use. I’ve got 2 action bars full and only just now realized I could easily fill up a 3rd. Unfortunately I don’t know what actions are better than others and in which way to bind them and use them in rotation. I’ve got a very loose understanding of what I’m doing and it’s gotten me to level 58 but I want to start moving on to group content but I don’t want to be a detriment.
What spec are you playing? BM, WW, MW, FW?

Hey bud welcome to the most fun (and most difficult) tank in the game. You’ll have a blast playing your drunken brawler. Head over to Peak of Serenity (google it) that will get you started on BrM. Also join the peak of serenity discord. Great people over there and you can get your questions answered quickly as Brew is not a common spec.
Generally your most important abilities are
- keg smash
- blackout kick
- breath of fire
- tiger palm
- purifying brew
- celestial brew
- expel harm
- rising sun kick (for damage only, it doesn’t really interact with our kit at all sadly)
You can open w / keg, blackout kick, breath of fire. Then when your start taking damage pop a purify and then immediately celestial brew. Then try to pop a purify every 12 seconds or so.
Make sure you’re keeping keg smash and blackout kick on cooldown as much as possible.
That’s a really rudimentary rotation but it will make you better that all the fotm BRM out there.
Did you boost? Sounds like it because you sound overwhelmed by the sheer amount of buttons we have 
.

Do you have a razer naga mouse?
Did you turn your capslock key into an left alt key?

Unfortunately I don’t have a Razer Naga. I have a Glorious Model D right now but I have considered getting a Naga previously. Is it a worthy investment?
In a way it is. I personally need it because I’ve gotten so used to it. OVER THREE DOZEN HOTKEYS utilize the mouse, and potentially more!
It’s like learning to play an instrument basically but arguably much easier. Clicking can only get you so far and applying binds on the keyboard is a bit too much for me.
You can do shift/Alt/Ctrl modifiers to QERTFZXCV ect…
I have tried that to some extent and it’s too much work compared to the 12 keys on the mouse. I’d rather have keyboard binds be without shift etc modifiers unless it’s menus or Opie.
Also if you are new to hotkeys and/or having trouble remembering, I’d put a mount or fishing action on those hotkeys. Use them to mount up or take a long fishing session etc. It will help the muscle memory.
Discord is full of trolls. Got banned for asking for more damage on 9.2 as a Mistweaver…
Peak of Serenity is a great discord community. I’m guessing it was your doing.

No they are a bunch of trolls, when I said MWer needed more damage in 9.2 I got flamed and banned. No issues on any of the other discords.
