New blood elf posture please!

Hello Blizzard,

I’d like to request a small but meaningful update for Blood Elves. In original Classic, the Blood Elf NPCs stood tall and upright with a straight posture. It looked elegant, confident, and truly fit their theme.

When Blood Elves became a playable race in The Burning Crusade, their stance was changed to a tilted lean. While some players may like it, many of us feel it looks slouched and unbalanced compared to other races.

A perfect solution would be to add a posture toggle in character customization — like you did for Orcs. Players could then choose between the current tilted stance or the original upright posture.

This would respect both styles and let everyone play their Blood Elf the way they prefer. It’s a small change, but it would mean a lot to the community.

Thank you,

Mr. Monkeypaw says: Granted, you get slightly more upright Blood Elf toggles, but you just lost a raid tier.

You mean that one freaky looking guy in ratchet who was a modified night elf?

It doesn’t have to be some giant tradeoff like losing a raid tier. Orcs got a posture toggle without Blizzard canceling content, and the same could easily be done for Blood Elves.

What players like me are asking for isn’t “slightly upright” — it’s a proper, parallel stance: feet planted, shoulders square, straight posture, long hair flowing, big weapon ready. That look fits the fantasy of a proud highborn warrior more than the current slouch ever will.

Standing tall shouldn’t be treated like a luxury. It’s about giving players the same customization respect as other races already got.

I was going to say … I’m from the days when Sylvanas was just a really pale night elf. I don’t remember there being any blood elf models before BC.

YES! That way!

It was a nelf painted to look like a belf.

But I agree with the posture thing. We could use more postures for existing races.

You mean that one freaky looking guy in ratchet who was a modified night elf? Like this but skinny and not huge muscles.

I’m more bothered by them taking away face variation for Blood Elves. Now we just have one face, sometimes with lipstick, sometimes with freckles.

only 3 or 4 races get any real attention in this game… Blood/Void Elves, Night Elves and Humans.

So, there is a good chance that the devs drop everything they’re doing and make this a thing.

A very slightly different posture option, yeah, why not.

YES PLEASE. They’re reusing / leveraging the same stances we got in TBC. The masc posture makes so many helms, shoulders, legs and robes unusable.

Void elves are carrying a chunk of the hype for midnight via the new spec/DH option and they are one of the most limited races regarding customization. Scraggly, meme-emo hair that becomes extra janky if you dont want tentacles for hair.

This is what they answered the pleas for queldorei with and its lame… If theres no posture toggle added so that we can stand straight up, the way they do when they walk or … are silvermoon guards… then i just reeeeally hope night elves also get void wings as devourer. Mog is my carrot on a stick with this game, i cant play the lesser-loved races that break most of the collection DX

they did it for orcs girl, calm down. You over here sniping like it will delay the xpac.

Forsaken first.

I’d love for my Forsaken to be able to fix their scoliosis. Can we find some corpses with straight backs and do an implant, please?

I am also a staunch advocate for the upright forsaken movement. We all desrve good posture since they’re clearly not even looking in the direction of /changepose like other games have.

I guess my biggest complaint might be how much work would have to go into this sort of thing? But I also know that … I just don’t know.

And if it did take a lot of work, if it would make players happy I guess I can’t disagree with your request.

Hahaha you are so serious wow. This is a sillyass game and you’re talking about something so tiny and miniscule, but you can’t even tell when someone is joking. Don’t worry bro, they’ll add a cloak mog that’s a posture corrector. :dracthyr_crylaugh:
