Fair pointâŚbut you could have actually edited the content since I wasnât clear on what you thought you were wrong about.
Anyway, Iâll go edit mine as well. ![]()

Oh! Thatâs a good point! Iâll go back and edit my posts again, try and avoid confusing people! ![]()
Thank you! ![]()
I went back and made sure to clarify, and I stroked them out! Hopefully that helps. ![]()
it is very promising for those of us hoping to see a blue eyed option(and more now!) for blood elves
Why do I feel like thatâs a jab? ![]()
Thank you.
I am very excited about the prospect of new appearance options for so many races! The news about being able to separate eye color and face shape is very good, and I am looking forward to being able to pick my characterâs face without worrying about if the eye color I want is available for that face! This should positively affect all player characters in the future, and that is fantastic!
I have many cosmetic options I would like to see made available for blood elves, though I donât know how much lore would affect them being put into the game. I do wonder if the new starting zone that has been mentioned plays into that at all. If your character doesnât have to go through the usual racial starting zone, does that free up the characterâs backstory to be something else, and therefore justify having a look that conflicts with the usual character background, such as not being a Darkspear troll or Bronzebeard dwarf? Could this be used to justify undead blood elves, since lorewise dark rangers are part of the Forsaken, but neither the Forsaken or Blood Elf starting zones would make sense for them? Would this be possible for Sanâlayn as well, or are they still too monstrous to be player characters?
For general new options, I would like more variation in skin color, hair color, and hair texture. I would also like male blood elves to have a few thicker facial hair options, possibly similar to that seen on some of the Warcraft III Reforged models, as well as earring options, seeing as Lorâthemar now has plenty as part of his new model. I would also like scarring options, both intentional like some of the facial markings currently available for demon hunters and the box art for Burning Crusade, and accidental like Lorâthemarâs eye scar. After all, a melee fighter whoâs lived a few centuries would have a pretty good chance of being a bit roughed up, and Lorâthemar shouldnât be unique in that. These could be facial or along the upper body, since the new transmog rules would let such markings be seen. Tattoos would be great as well, if only so that mages can have sleeve tattoos like Rommath. New natural eye colors or variation on eye shine would be nice, but just being able to have the golden eyes on all faces would be great as well. I think adding different eye colors and more skin tones to death knights as a whole would be a good option for dark ranger and sanâlayn character backgrounds, if having those looks for other classes as part of the general population isnât something the developers want to justify. Personally I would like bird-like wings to be available for demon hunters so that mine can look even more like a felblood elf than he already does, but that could be implemented as a glyph as well if that becomes an option, similar to the existing wing glyphs. Overall, more variation in general should help player characters look more unique, and I would personally love the option to have my pretty blood elves look a bit less perfect.
No our Thalassian Elf thing is Void Elves.
Yes, and if youâve noticed, the eye color Void Elves have IS Blue!
Thalassian elves need to give up on the whole separation thing anyway. Practicing different powers never mattered. I mean sure void can warp the well, but itâs easy to stay away from. Quelâthalas is so out of the way. And if we turned to druidism, weâd have still be screwed. Elune, still screwed.
Iâve long thought everyone being apart made elf kind more vulnerable.
If you canât understand why they canât confirm or deny anything regarding a project that is still in development, I donât know what else to tell you.
Especially when it could be something they wish to save for the announcement/reveal of the new blood elf customizations when its finalized
Sure, my point is simple that I donât like it.
DK Blood elves would like a chat with you. Blue eyed blood elf npcs would also like a little word.
Both spellings are correct, and the modern version of âelvesâ is entirely an invention of JRR Tolkien! The same goes with Dwarfs, too. âDwarvesâ is just a modern fantasy spelling.
Youâll have to forgive me, I was taught the classical spellings before I ever read Ed Greenwood, RA Salvatore, Terry Pratchett, or Ursula K. Le Guin.
WowâŚI had to go duckduck that upâŚand couldnât find âElfsâ for plural. So I dug a little deeper and this place says the term âelfsâ hasnât been in use for over 200 years. Please tell me youâre not that old? Or if you are, can I have your secret, please? ![]()

Yeah i donât use google anymore either. ![]()
Green eyes were meant to be temporary, like a tan. Other than that it never really made much sense. Alleria spent time on Argus and her eyes stayed blue. Giving blue eyed high elves to the Alliance is what blurred the lines, time for them to be phased out, rolled into Void Elves, or return home.
Positive attitude, healthy diet, kindness towards myself and others. Gardening and volunteering at the local animal shelter, long walks through the woods, camping under the stars. The fresh blood of a male virgin sacrificed on the Summer Equinox when the moon is full and Mars is in retrograde. Standard stuff.
As for Elfs, I grew us reading things like Grimm Faerie Tales, Shakespeare, old Irish and Norse mythology. I love faeries, and old words. Sometimes I think I was born in the wrong era.
I never knew I wanted to play a sand troll until now. I better work on getting appearances for a tmog.

They have blue eyes like any other DK. Iâts not a feature to your race anymore, itâs ours.

Is there a citation for this? Last i checked High Elves were a Horde race.
Last i checked High Elves were a Horde race.
I donât see High Elves listed anywhere on the creation screen. I do see blue eyes on Void Elves though.
Oh itâs there all right.
