New beta invites

Has Blizz said anything on if there will be more invites for Beta?

some more streamers got invites today. including some who have never played wow at all.

Somewhere they said that the invites are winding down a they got their initial pool of testers set up. I wouldn’t hold my breath for an invite.

They said they’re winding down on the amount of closed beta invites going out. Or specifically that they’re “rapidly decreasing”.

As for stress test invites for May 29th, nobody knows yet.

New invites are reserved for streamers.

I heard they gave a posthumous beta invite to Totalbiscuit.

I think many streamers were hand picked as a way to double dip and get reports as well as obviously advertise , as for the other players with access,I wouldn’t be surprised to believe are friends / family of blizzard or possibly press / gaming employees such as IGN, with a small fraction of random invited long time players.

I think people just don’t really get what a beta is anymore. I would include blizzard in that as well.

I think many players realize what a beta is but are more or less frustrated how it was handled. Beta invites that seem to be more or less hand picked in a very small fraction size but with a “very small chance of access” & only if you subscribed. So pay us and maybe you’ll get in but we’re being very selective on if your good enough advertising or possibly have the connections , this is all obviously not conclusive but what it looks like at the least on the outside.

Forgot where but they said they’re winding down on their outgoing beta invites. That doesn’t mean future are not in the “near future”. I would be surprised if there weren’t an open beta before launch.

Randomized selection my as*

I imagine they’ll wait for some of the beta players to stop playing, then send more out later.

I’m not salty i didn’t get in, I’m concerned that someone is beta testing for bugs that has no prior knowledge of the game or its mechanics.
which I think is a fair criticism.

Is stating a fact salt?

To be fair most of the streamers who got access also played during vanilla in at least some capacity, and regardless of how much someone played in vanilla, fifteen years is fifteen years.
