If you have 100 players and only 10 maps, each map will fill.
If you have 100 players but 30 maps, each map will not fill.
Take this concept, expand it.
When a BG queue is organizing, it starts reserving 10 players from the total available pool within it’s restriction criteria. 10 maps = X reserved players. 30 maps = Y reserved players.
Then you factor in backfills.
Should I keep trying to say more prayers for you or are you beyond reach?

There’s not always an Alterac Valley, an Isle of Conquest, an Ashran, and a Wintergrasp running at the exact same time.
The game gathers 40 (or 35) people on each side and puts them into one of the 4 maps. Having an extra map wouldn’t increase the “required” population from 320 to 400.
Same logic for non-epics.

I really would like to see battle grounds. I don’t understand why PVP isn’t prioritized more. Look at all the raids, dungeons, and other PVE content that practically becomes extinct when a new expansion releases… Not PvP though. PVP has a replayability value like nothing else. Warsong gulch and Arathi Basin are old school. They are still as fun today as when they got released many moons ago. Please give us more maps for BGs, EBGs, and Arena’s.

If you have 100 players but 10 maps… it’s possible to get 10 WSG’s, lol. Are you under the assumption that each battleground is reserved to be only used by 1 instance at a time? Player count literally has NOTHING to do with queue times when it comes to how many maps there are… wtf lmao

They recently hired multiple devs, just because of a past record doesn’t mean players should not care
aint getting any bgs anytime soon. the lead pvp dev left to dreamhaven after SL launch. instead of fixing seething shore they just removed it.
blizz has their hands full making sure their leaders arent drinking and touching and harassing people. its a full time job on top of a full time job. pvp is last on the menu

Players are having a hard time with the BGs that are out already. I mean some are 17 years old and people still don’t know how to play them.

Yes, because they are “complicated” we need more battlegrounds to break up the extreme monotony of playing the same ones over and over again, I’m willing to bet that most players in battlegrounds are extremely casual and possibly very new to PvP in general and literally have no idea what’s going on; but they don’t stay and one reason for that is because there is such little content. Regardless, the amount of content we have for how long this game has been a thing is absolutely awful.
Idk what that is, but I am damn sure the community could make some really good maps for battlegrounds.

We did get new brawls, some are entirely new BGs.
We could have some king of the hill style map i guess, thing is there isn’t much to expand upon on BGs besides copying them or remastering, it always easier in arenas and soo far all exps got new arenas.
Also, wow have more bgs than all other big mmos around lol. ESO/ffxiv/gw2 haven’t add a single new pvp map for years now.

i was looking at the new gear ranking and it looks good. For folks who are starting or alts it looks easy enough to gear up. The gear disparity will definately be closed. Especially for those trying to get over 1600. I think its a good thing although i really dont care much. Just get 1800 on opening weekend of season and chill lol but its the alts that are gonna make it fun. I got my shammy going and started a DH for 915. i dont care about any of that tho…what I care about is not making us do pve crap. because its crap. F torghast. F the maw. F conduits. F M+. all garbage. stop it blizz! just stop it
