New animations & models

How is it that these are actually worse now than when this game was made

Are they? That’s interesting.

I would get your eyes checked.

Here, let me get you a rope so you can get out of that pit of denial.

Yes they are

In general, the new animations are better. However, some of the new ones are questionable. For example, I don’t paticularly like the goofy expressions that female draenei make with their mouths when they dance.

We must not be playing the same game.

The game modes and animations are definitely better than the classic game.

I found the problem. Look at the engineering goggles the OP is wearing. Probably can’t see anything through those.

The mouth movements in WoW are comically bad and outdated. I think for the most part the updates are kind of good, save for the mouth movements. I’d rather have no expression than what we have now.

Speaking on this, I’d really like it if Blizzard stopped the popup chat bubble thing ,where an NPC will talk to you and they keep looping the same mouth movement. It’s very poorly done, and looks terrible.

lol…

Not too long ago I did the Ursoc cleansing quest in Grizzly Hills, and damn if that furbolg NPC that helps you out was nothing but giant 1997-era polygons.

People like to make a big deal about how “bouncy” some things look these days (or at least they did when the changes were first made), but a lot of that can just be chalked up to how much they were used to the way the original animations looked.

And replaced it with what, just dumping text to your chat window? Mouthflap gonna mouthflap, it’s reasonably inoffensive all things considered.

I don’t like the idea of someone talking to you that isn’t even on the same continent. We shouldn’t see them at all. Or just give us text to read, it’s more immersive. For me when I’m wandering around and a floating dialogue box and NPC popup and starts talking to me, it kind of ruins the game. It especially ruins the game if that NPC’s animations are done very poorly.
