Like a smart person would. I ground out Zandalari Empire reputation and Honorbound first thing because I knew they’d be required for unlocking the Allied races.
I grinded out voldunari rep too, cause i had a feeling that of all the other races they would put in the game, it would probably be the vulpera.
All I want is the longer trench coat for the Kul Tirans. I loved the look of the longer trench coats and it made them look less… chubby with the longer look. Now it shows that they are more chubbier than originally intended with the shorter coat.
So basically, longer trench coat but with the new design at the back. Also, can the colors go back to the original? The original looked more suitable for them. The new colors look very dull. Also, make the design and colors on the heritage armor match the Kul Tiran charger mount as well. It almost looks like it belong with it but with the older brighter colors and long trench coat, it would look perfect.
It’s hard to stay excited waiting so long…
After blizzard has destroyed themselves and there’s near to nothing left only then can they re-emerge as a beautiful and wondrous video game company that will always first and foremost place game quality before profits and money.
Later. But we’ve waited this long so why not push it bad to 9.0?
They did say the Zandi were a “Launch feature”. 9.0 would make that not a lie!
Also, players that were interested in playing a Kul Tiran balance druid have been begging for the wickerman model for the entirety of the development process and what are they getting? Fat chickens?
What are you even talking about ? No dungeons required?
Yeah, this is a serious hangup on the KT druid situation. The other forms are weird Drustvar-focused things but the fat chicken is awful and there are better options. KT have underwhelming customization options for their race too.
In contrast, the Zandalari druid situation is freakin’ amazing. Every form looks awesome. The Zandalari are also well constructed on the PTR.
Instead of taking the nerf bat to the Zandalari Trolls, raise the old racials of other races. 1 or 2% of whatever doesn’t really make an impact at max level.
And WHY are the Kul Tirans getting a druid class? They’re HUMANS
What is the release date for 8.1.5?
Really looking forward to making a Zandalari, and despite what almost everyone in the thread has said, just because an expansion has a feature listed doesn’t mean that it’s supposed to be available from day one. Taking the fight to Arthas in Icecrown was obviously a selling-point “feature” of Wrath of the Lich King (as well as aerial PvP combat, which actually never made it in at all), but it’s understandable to wait for the right moment in the story.
Also, it makes more sense for Kul Tirans and Zandalari to become playable at the same time, which was why the Mag’har were swapped to the first set of unlockable races. I want to make a Zandalari as much as anyone else, and sure, I wish it had been sooner. But the reasons why they held off make sense. Have patience.
Gilneans are are also humans (technically) as well, afflicted by a curse which deepened the connection their “Harvest Witches” had with the natural world, granting them a form of druidism that their night elf allies were able to train and make stronger. The basis is that as a relatively sequestered people, their customs and beliefs are more “primitive” than the more “civilized” Light-worship practiced by the mainland humans of Stormwind and Lordaeron.
So Kul Tirans, some of whom use nature magics, could also be trained to be druids.
Probably in another week or two. The Blizzard client just had an update for WoW.
At this point I’m at the “it’s about @*&$ time” attitude towards any Allied Race.
Unlike what some have said previously, a feature of an expansion IS supposed to be available at launch. I have no problem if it was available but required reputation with Group X and a quest chain to unlock. Requiring the rep and quests done, but then just not unlocking it “because reasons”, is just Activision trying to string you along to keep the sub dollars flowing.
From a lore perspective, they should of also been unlocked by now. After seeing how the Horde/Alliance has been helping their respective peoples, some of them would of said “after all you’ve done for us, let us help you”.
The assets were in game at launch as datamining showed the models and emotes were already there. They held off not for gameplay or lore reasons but to give 8.1.5 some “content” to release.
Yes, no dungeons required.
Mag’har required three challenging boss fights but all were still solo-able. Dark Iron requires at least one dungeon; KT will require… four I think? …including a heroic. I don’t know if Zandalari will require any at all.
I was just wondering if anyone was aware of whether or not the character limit per server will increase with this update? I couldnt find any news of it anywhere, yet if it’s like every other allied race I assume we gain two slots.
“New Allied Races Ahead!”…yeah, for some people. I feel like I won’t even reach the ability to fly in BFA. Garbage.
You should only need about two slots total, one Horde, one Alliance. Maybe a few slots more than that. But, all classes would be available to each character, except to keep up with lore, no Undead Paladins, for example.
Wow these sure are late. so any actual release date or are you guys going to keep avoiding giving out information.
