to each their own, i’ll still hope for the day i can play as a mantis-man, diving out stealth, killing a mob, and flying away… on my wings.
On second thoughts. That would make pretty good rogue I guess. Hmm that mantis is all in the past…
exactly! mantid-rogues with flight as a racial (well, no need to pay for flight the first-time).
Hmm yes. They get flight early too like druids. While in lower levels you can just double jump and glide like DHs do while waiting to level up. Yeah
I CHANGED MY MIND. GIVE MANTIDS!
Thats fair and probably why they told us that they don’t expect anymore AR’s at this time or the launch of SLs.
They are no doubt working hard on the customizations. Folk should still ask for what they want to see though so Blizz has plenty of data to use to determine what races folk want to see later on when they’re ready.
Those are interesting picks. Very nice.
Those are trolls… so they’d be mixed with Darkspear.
thank you, i chose those races for a reason.
and here are the reasons.
High mountain- Tauren
Nightborne-Night ELf
Mag’har orc- Orc
Zalandari-Troll
Void elf-Blood ELf
Lightforged-Draenei
Kul tirans-Humans
Mechagnomes- GNomes
Vulpera- Worgen
Dark Iron- Dwarfs
Goblins Undead Pandaren are the only current races to not have a allied race to mate them.
That being said I could see either a new faction of Goblins or Undead going to the alliance and the other joining the horde. A new race of neutral people joining both side.
That is just my thoughts on the matter.
Vulpera are the Goblin rig… So its Goblin - Vulpera. Not Worgen.
Pandaren, Undead, and Worgen are the only ones with no rig associated with them out of the AR’s.
No henny… Do the Vulpers look anything like goblins ? Do they hold any similrity to the goblin race ? No
They are a canine race of fox people. They are the Horde version of the Worgen. It has nothing to do with rigging it has to do with things like stroy and lore.
Blizzard has mentioned that AR may not always be released in pairs.
That being said, we still have not seen this be done.
Maybe both factions could get Sethrak. Horde gets Devoted Sethrak. Alliance gets reformed Faithless Sethrak. (could literally just be Faithless who do not want to rejoin the Devoted but feel they want allies/want to be better. Or they could be done similarly as the Forsaken)
There could be subtle differences in racials. And skin tones, customizations, etc.
In fact I might toss this idea to Blizz in the in game suggestion box.
We got Void Elves and Blood Elves.
Sethrak could easily be handled similarly.
Dismissive attitudes are tiring.
They are the goblin rig. Facts trump your feeling on the matter. They are the goblin AR.
I’m quite a fan of that idea. The Devoted staying with one and the Faithless (reformed) with the other.
And they could be the Forsaken equivalent (the Faithless) for the Alliance. Since in that sense the Faithless share thematic schemes to the Forsaken. And then boom Devoted Sethrak on Horde = Horde access to Worgen rig.
And on the character creation screens they could be named appropriately
Faithless Sethrak and Devoted Sethrak. No different than High Mountain Tauren and Tauren, etc etc.
That’s a great idea!
The rig is not what matters. What matters is on the outside, vulpera look nothing like goblin. They are a mirro of the worgens.
Undead elves
Tigon, the Troll version of Worgen or Saberon
Moknathal
Sethrak
As for race:
- High Elf (customization as void elf doesn’t do it for me…I’d rather a separate entry…just because it looks less Voidy doesn’t make the character less of a Void Elf)
- Wildhammer Dwarf (see above…just because this is effectively a customization option from Ironforge doesn’t mean a dwarf character I create will be any more of a Wildhammer dwarf…it’s still an ironforge dwarf)
- Ogres
- San’layn
- Manari Eredar (if any are left)
- Arrakoa
- Saberons
- Vrykul
- Ankoan
- Gil-goblins
- Earthen
Customization Options:
- Darkfallen (for undead)
- Lightforged (for humans and undead)
Everything you have there is based on the rig except vulpera.
Goblin and vulpera are the same rig.
Vulpera and Worgen only share what? Being furry? Tauren are animals too.
Fact is, worgen, forsaken, and pandaren are the only races with no corresponding AR.
I’m pretty sure the matching of race to sub race remains in the faction.
so…
Nightborne would match with Blood Elf,
Void Elf would match with Night Elf &
Vulpera would match with Goblin…
Leaving Undead & Worgen as the 2 current races yet to have an allied race to mate them.
(& possibly Panderen if Blizz decides to give them a sub race, which doesn’t seem likely since it would have to apply to both factions.)
I mean a good sub race for pandaren would be tuskarr, they don’t really lean to either side at the moment, could easily use the pandaren rig. Quite loved by the people even if forgotten.
Maybe Blizz will give us 3 new playable races in Shadowlands. I would only count on getting 2 though.
