Ran into one of them recently. I was sitting in queue murdering bots farming herbs as one does in pvp (usually get a bounty before dying)
Then I ran into one of them… was the usual riding a druid and mining combo. Killed the druid off the bad but the hunter bot weirdly started combat. Opened with a trap to create distance then followed up with slows and stuns. After the druid came back to to life it started healing the hunter and tried to stay out of my range…
Creepy thing is after killing six or seven times I got messages wishing me ill and saying uncourteous things about my mother.
Stay safe out there. I had killed dozens of bots before them but the bots…they are evolving.

Was it actually a bot? Or did you just farm some dudes trying to gather?

Bet is they were players.
Lots of people travel in packs in Warmode, most of my Warmode fights are taking on 2~3 people at once, usually healer+DPS combos.

People do that. They always have. Pop on some youtube, chill out and fill your bags. With mounted gathering it’s that much easier now.

It is a different phase from non-WM so less competition and if you are on the dominant faction you can pick up crates as they spawn without a fight for free honor/conquest.

New World had a similar issue. False-positive bans on players.
People cutting down trees for hours on end. Yep, people do that.

The sort who can’t or won’t spend gold in the auction house for the resources they need. Some people actually enjoy or at least don’t mind farming their resources.

I tell you the other day i saw several boomkins on killing spree in Pandaria!! No clue why or what for. They were all lvl 70 so they couldnt have been doing it for xp. They were just killing those big rats over by the farm area. Is there anything of value to even farm rodents for in pandaria?
Maybe the skyshards for the mount…? I don’t know if treasure potions work anymore.

Possible i totally forgot about the mount. I just bought it off the ah so i never farmed any shards. Not sure on the potion either. I remember when it used to be a good seller on AH.

It sounds like whoever was running em came back to the keyboard to check on their bots and decided to hit you in retaliation.
