I agree. I have been lobbying in another thread for FIFO along with forcing undercuts to be substantial instead of trivial, but I am changing my mind on that. With FIFO the price will creep down, and that’s fine, even if it’s 1 silver at a time, the demand will balance it out.
They do…
Yeah. The ability to stick your product on top of mine (at the same price) with no way for anyone to buy mine before they buy yours is shady as Hell.
The Dev’s of Auctioneer are rebuilding their famous addon. They had to start from the ground up due to the huge change Blizzard made. Once it’s done it might be something you may want to look into.
New AH is great. It’s much faster and kids can’t price fix the entire auction house anymore .
You are still “technically” capable at retrieving that info. It’s not displayed in the UI but rather in the tooltip (in fact one dude I bought items from as said in tooltip, popped up at the Boralus AH after my first trip to the mailbox). However I did not see names there for commodities. I however have had TSM, auctioneer suite, and a load of other addons running, so I am not sure if it is exactly forward facing info. I guess their viewpoint is to anonymize the whole process to provide everyone a more fair chance at their items to be purchased. I for one and a few other people these past few years actively did not purchase stuff from people I knew were on the other faction, had bank/server in the name or were excessive market manipulators. Now that can’t happen nor can said unhinged competitors know their competition so that they can then harass them elsewhere in game.
Your definition of kids needs work. That’s not how the world works.
Yeah, but how do I know that the products were ethically sourced? What if I want to avoid buying any Warmode (blood money) items? We should be informed consumers who get to choose who we support.
Maybe I want to buy local to support things that were farmed by a struggling human of Westfall instead of some rich dwarf who has always lived safe in his mountain fortress.
I don’t mind it at all. It just need some automation. Once Auctioneer is rebuilt it should be better. Take some time to navigate it, it really is pretty simple.
I do miss being able to scan the AH and only things that I have listed at a certain price come up. Now I have to look at each favorite and decide if the price is worth it.
Before I would just scan and “Buy all” knowing full well I could resale for a profit.
Yep, since stacks are no longer a thing, you can either baby sit the auction house all day or undercut by larger amounts, otherwise no sales (unless you’re on a giant realm with an actual economy and high sales rate).
I don’t use the auction house to buy anything for the most part only selling and I like the new version better than I thought I would.
That being said, I’m still really unsure how I feel about LIFO, and I miss being able to drag the AH window & shift click an item to place it into the auction window (instead of having to drag it). Otherwise, I find it decent enough.
The new AH is absolutely beatiful as far as I’m concerned. I don’t even need actionator anymore. TY Blizz. At least there’s one good thing in the xpac.
Actually I’m one of these people and it’s still not a problem for me because I can see who is an AH baron by the amount of undercut and that was my reason.
it shows the lowest priced item it just works better and is a lot more organised
I guess I’m in the minority as finally not having to scan through countless stacks of 1 is a good change.
The only people crying are price fixers. It’s like yeah sorry you can’t buy out the entire auction house of hoofplates because it’s the warfront AP turn in and list them in a stack of 20 for 10k gold when I can just buy the two that I need for 500g.
The new AH in NO way stops undercutting. It should…its made to…but as long as people can set their own prices undercutting will happen. It happened before and it’s still happening ALOT on the new AH.
Not having to wade through pages of single item listings is a huge improvment for me as a buyer. Being able to buy as much and only as much of an item as I want is a huge improvement for me as a buyer.
It was broken, they fixed it.
It’s all a matter of perspective.
this is actually the easiest system for sellers.
just undercut if you feel like it.
or buy up cheap stuff to raise the price.
its so much faster than my add on.
how can you screw this up ?
I never played Eve but I play Rift, they have it there too and it’s so nice. I do like the buying in quantities you need and have been wanting blizz to add that for a while now. Buy orders are great, especially if you can get it to buy a certain amount under a set price.
