New AH is just idiotic

I’m yet to spot one because of how much faster it is to list stuff now. Like 10000 cloth in a single click, no waiting.

Duh.

(if you didn’t get it, that was the point)

Listing for 1c cheaper was hardly a “privilege” that was being earned.

Yeah once again they fxed something that wasnt broken

Another day and still no gold.

If the nearly daily complaint threads on the forums weren’t enough to convince you something was broken, I guess nothing will. Those threads slowed down only after this change was announced around Blizzcon.

You must also have been playing on a smaller server and/or making limited use of the AH if you didn’t notice the performance issues caused by making the system process say 5,000 individual single stack listings for each commodity vs a much smaller number of larger lots, both on the AH and at the mailbox.

Good riddance to the baby-shoesize IQ tardies and their thousands of single-stack listings.

Well for me is convenient . No more 10 pages of single items , that are different in one copper.

It has it conveniences but I am noticing some sellers on certain items are no longer undercutting and will just match absurdly high prices since clicking the button is quicker than selecting a new price.

For example I was looking to buy a couple stacks of honey potpie which typically sells for 3-5 gold for each one. Someone posted them at 256 gold for each one and everyone is just matching that ridiculous price now. No one is paying over 5000 gold for a stack of honey potpie.

Hopefully the undercutters will stop getting lazy soon and bring prices back to reality.

Anyone who thinks LIFO is a good idea is a moron, i.e. the devs. All it does is screw the buyers with higher prices and also the nonprofessional sellers who can’t watch the AH all day.

anything is better than stacked items listed one at a time. Blame those idiots and yourself if you were one of those idiots.

As a buyer, I prefer the new system buying the items in bulk instead of scanning all the pages clicking 1 by 1 those individual quantities with 1 copper price difference.

As a seller, I hate selling by putting my items 1 by 1 every hour to undercut other sellers by 1 copper so that my items remain the cheapest getting higher chance of successful sell.

Wow,it’s just like buying from a vendor now.Nothing like an auction.

If you list at a lower price point yours will be lower.

You know, come to think of it, you’re absolutely right!

it is just like a vendor now

A vendor sells server-generated items at a fixed price, usually in unlimited quantities. Gold spent at a vendor is removed from the player economy and absorbed by the server.

The auction house sells player-owned items at a player-chosen price, in the quantities that players find/make them. Gold spent is transferred from one player to another player, minus a small transaction fee.

In short the fundamental differences are the same they always have been, and no the new AH is not the same as a vendor.

However it looks and feels like a vendor when buying from it.I used to spend a lot of time on my Dino, playing the ah. Doesn’t seem like fun now.

Nah I think it’s fine

Heheh undercutting by 1 copper. Undercutting means , selling for price that will go in matter of minutes. If you undercut by 1 copper you save on 10k items only one gold. On EU servers I undercut always by 1% and can’t get enough mats , items and I’m millionaire. I’m starting to this here as well on us server , and look in few days I have 500k, sky golem and yak in collection
