New addon for MUSIC & BARD RP!

This new addon called Musician lets you play songs through MIDI files in WoW for other people with the addon! It reminds me of GHI, in a sense.
I feel like this could be amazing for the RP community, and I personally have been looking for an addon like this for years.
I hope MG gets this addon so I can live out the dream of RPing a bard with actual audio.

Far as I’m aware- sad as I hate to be the one to ruin dreams- this sort of thing is currently not possible to do, at least not in the way you’re suggesting. The only formats available for music are mp3 and ogg. :frowning:

LoTRO has this, though, and it’s pretty darn cool.

Edit: It DOES exist. Hm. Wonder how they worked around that limitation…

I actually use this on my bard gnome. This is such a fun addon - I highlt recommend to preview files before playing it. Black Midi files are loud, obnoxious, and painful to hear. I don’t want to mute you for playing a favorite song.

This does sound useful. I tried a little while back to set up one of my characters as a bard, but I never could get much traction because it’s hard to share the actual music, and I like to write my own stuff occasionally. Maybe this addon would breathe some life into that.

This is quite exciting, i would love to see it added to TRP in some way though, as i always felt the “Starts playing a song” (Here is the link to the song) quite… lame, lazy, and immersion breaking, but really was the only good way to get that across.
