Animal Bond — while your pet is within 15 yards from you, your pet takes 20% less damage and heals 3% every 5 seconds.
This fixes survival hunter. BM/MM have to handle pet better to keep it alive.

Take Mend Pet off the GCD and add a conduit that reduces the damage taken by your pet while Mend is active by 15%+?

As long as I can still kill their pets and spam wind shear the rezzes.

Blood pact - while within 15 yards of your pet, you and your pet each take 15% reduced damage and receive 5% increased healing but you do 10% less damage. Gain access to master call, roar of sac.
Pets can now be dismissed and called within arena. When your pet is not active your critical strikes have a chance to proc “fury of the beasts” which allows you to transform into your pet gaining acess to its abilities at 50% increased damage for 8 seconds. During this time you are immune to cc but if you die during this you will simply be placed back within the hunter body.
Ah yes, exactly what Survival needs, a 10% dmg nerf for being in melee with your pet. Its not as if the spec does less damage than tanks in PvE or anything.
If this is for MM, Im not sure this would feel good to play. (Nerfing MM dmg is also not really good at this point, other classes do way more damage as it is.)
Id rather have a Triune Ward, seems good. 
As long as I can still kill it by putting up Corruption and Agony on it :^)

Does not fix survival hunter. It needs active mitigation tools, not just passives. Cower and blood of the rhino used to exist specifically for this. Your pet drops aggro/stops attacking, but takes way less damage for a few seconds.
People keep saying this with no regard to the fact that there is not a realistic way to actually “handle it better”. If there were buttons to press in a more correct way, you could make this point. But mend and your personals are still all you have. If it’s dying to cleave, it’s still just dying to cleave all the same. They literally just need to bring back the active mitigation tools that used to exist and this whole thing would be a non-issue.
