Hi all.
I played fairly hardcore in vanilla, but came back to SOD to relive some adventures. I have been mostly soloing just to get to 60. Now that I am there, what is new in SOD that I should do next? I hear there is a new area and a raid? Is there a gear skip in the new area or do I need to start with MC pugs and go from there? It’s all rather confusing this time, coming in on season 7 or 8 or whatever that means, lol.
Just looking for suggestions. I supposed I should find a guild, but that’s another thing

Grats on 60!, for you I’d focus on doing dungeons for Reals that you can redeem in booty bay for t1/t2. Get attuned to MC and keep an eye out for Molten core real runs, emerald dragons. Also you can buy Scarlet gear from AH that will help you start off. Run invasions and get your 3 pc scourge set, attune to nax and you can
Do a new quest that starts in EPL for a cool trinket!

Hello congrats for your level 60 you will have to do Blackwing lair naxx and new avalon attune as well this last will allow you to get the weekly box who give 1/3 chalice and after 3 weeks you have a very piece of gear of your choice from the new raid. Also try to find a group for the invasions they reward you with shoulders enchant who increase your power even more. Karazhan crypts require t1 t2 so wait to have a decent gear but it will help as well.

In the time it took you to type this unhelpful response, you could have given the OP some good advice from your own experience and personalized their experience with the game and the community. Whether you actually would be able to provide any real insight is unknown, but you could have tried.

This is what the forums are for, asking questions about the game. If you’re bothered by it, then keep scrolling, nothing is stopping you.
To the OP: You don’t need to do BWL or MC attune really, you can just run Strat/Scholo for reals and get T2 pieces in Booty Bay. Getting attuned to Naxx is easy enough, takes about half a day (mainly because of reputation). Try to get a few sanct pieces from the vendor at Light’s Hope and you can do Naxx HM0 at least, and maybe win some T3 pieces.

Getting into a guild is great…
Look for MC reels runs (they will take almost anything)
Try and do your scarlet enclave weekly. The blue scarlet gear is fantastic for a fresh 60.
Check out Demon Fall Canyon for a weapon and trinkets.
farm up stuff for world bosses, when someone tells you that your gear score is too low, tell them you have three rounds of world buffs.
When using reals try and save them for BWL booty bay vendor stuff, everything but helm, legs and chest I think.
Try and sneak into a world dragons raid (this will be tough, but some forget to check gs)
ZG runs usually for rings/neck/trinket. Research the summonable bosses for trinkets.
Your goal is to get into naxx, then se… Get the pre naxx sanctified hands/wrists. Get the sanctified cloak. Naxx has these remnant of valor things you can farm… If you get 3k or so (400 a turn in for a repeatable quest), combined with your sanctified gear and you will be solid in Naxx…
