They could’ve just pushed portals up to +12. It’s the new “final” affix anyways.
I’m not against new rewards by any means but there was a lazy route here they’ve could taken. It was already kind of lazy of them (Except not?) to make +12 the new final affix rather than +10.
A cool decision on their part but also weird. What’s next? A +15 affix? Where should “reward high-end” really stop?

Why move the goal post on a current reward, tho? The KSL Mount is a reskin of the KSM mount. You get a reskin of a mount you already earned for pushing to 12s if you so choose.
They chose the lazy route by making the reward a recolour.

I’ll admit that I was kinda surprised in this latest development of rewards that go beyond the ‘limit’ for their new M+ design, but since it’s only cosmetic stuff, I’m not too concerned about it. I say this even as someone who’s never gotten close to 2850 rating and usually doesn’t even get any portals in a season because all of that’s above my pay grade.
In the end, maybe stuff like this pushes me to try to ‘git gud’ and achieve it. But if I don’t have fun doing it, I won’t and I won’t fault Blizz for adding it to the game for the players who do have fun doing it. I’ll just stick to whatever’s fun for me like I always have.

I’ll get 2850 but I won’t feel any more accomplished than when I landed 2500. It’s all gear ilvl grinds and some minor improvements in gameplay. You either have the reflexes and knowledge or you don’t. If you don’t by +8 then M+ probably isn’t for you.
Beyond that it’s just gear. I’ll get 2850 but it’ll take me a bit to stop being bitter about another ilvl grind. Though what sucks more is I’ll still be considered a bad player (And my opinions invalid) until I aim for +13/14/15/etc.
Sounds like the game is dying quick and the game leaders are pushing it further down

This will make more players feel bad than it will get players in higher keys. This is a mistake. Classic Blizzard.
If you want more players in M+ you reward them early to get more people in then the ones who like it will stay to do 10+. You don’t backload the reward and make most players feel miserable.

It’s just more treadmill clownshow to keep the player in game time metric high. The whole management team should be let go and bring in people who understand how wow was managed pre-Legion.

They need to make rewards that will bring the community together and stimulate participation across the board.
The top players already have enough exclusivity.
Exclusivity will not save M+
