Same but I’m not excited in the least. More ilvl grind just to finally beat it. A potential mathematically worse grind than +8 to +10 with the +12 affixes being the way they are.
Blizzard messed up from the get go if you ask me. Should’ve moved portals to +12 if they really wanted the majority of players to benchmark up there. As it stands now I could give two flips about +12.
But now that it’s there. I mean I’ll do it. Rather not waste my time on the ilvl grind even more, but I’ll do it. Bitterly lol.
My idea would ensure more people would play for longer. Less time in the lfg system because it would be based on key completion and not time.
You guys don’t care because you all have an easy time of it. For casual players, it can be very arduous just to get accepted to a key or to even complete your own without someone leaving because of a few wipes.
This reward is just an extra pat on the back for people who will already receive the end game rewards anyway. It’s pointless and will not increase participation even a small amount.
The sad part is if you’ve done a +10 at 610 ilvl, you probably know what a +12 at 630 ilvl feels like. (Or maybe 631/632 ilvl). It’s all just math and you can experience that degree of difficulty at +10 just by docking your ilvl.
I’m ok with going higher, but I don’t want another boring ilvl grind either. Grinding out Hero was already annoying enough. Then you snag your first +10 group and you’re finally learning a new curve of difficulty.
It’s not even insanely hard like it should be given you have 9 levels of practice behind you. So now does that mean sitting at 6/6 Mythic that +12 will finally be the hard mode of all hard modes? Or is it just another +10 mildly more difficult bump?
This won’t boost participation…only division. But that’s exactly why these folks fight so hard for exclusivity at the top end. They like the division because it makes them feel special.
The only people being divisive are the ones who complain about every little thing and about putting in work.
People are their own worst enemy. If you want to push higher in keys there’s multiple avenues to do so, but instead, you’re here on the forums complaining how you’re not being invited to keys.
We already have the ‘participation awards’ in the form of KSM and KSH. This is just adding a more tangible reward to the next achievement in the chain.
