Honestly, they should just pick the level where rewards stop (seems to be +12), balance around that level, and ignore everything above that.
So everything’s roughly balanced in +12s, then if weird stuff starts happening in higher keys because of uncapped exponential scaling, let it.

Probably not. 12s are still oogabooga level where anything can work.

I already suggested years ago they should introduce some kind of “Honnor” lvl like we have in PvP. The more keys you play and participate in, the higher your honnor level goes.

Not really, blizz aint gonna bother with holding people hostage in keys for leaving failed keys. They only ban the people who intentionally leave to troll the key and make it fail on purpose. As in…key starts then they leave.

i hope so, as a mount collector and as someone that can only find sporadic time to run via pugs, i for one can foresee myself leaving many groups at the 1st sign of failure due to the fact that people dont have 30+ mins to waste on a run that will not give score.
i hope blizzard sees this and makes adjustments accordingly.
Don’t PuG, join a guild and get friends. Be prepared to switch specs.

Didn’t arena used to do something where only the top % got the reward? Shouldn’t this be the same?
This change just feels like it’s forcing players who want rewards into their new +12 scheme. If portals are meant to be “end-game” then +12 should be normalized down to +10 where the final reward difficulty has existed for a while. Or portals should be pushed to +12. Give the mount to the 1% so it really means something.
Such an unnecessary change imo. If you want 12’s to be endgame goals for most players, put portals there. That’s all it needs.

The problem with making a pve reward like this is that it puts it out of the reach of most classes. While pvp has this issue it isn’t as extreme as the more predictable nature of pve.
I think they want to encourage people to run keys past the minimum to get max level gear out of it without unlocking the mythic track.
I just don’t think its gonna work… Mythic plus doesn’t feel that well balanced. This will just become what portals were before 10s became the cap.
As it stands currently players expect 6/6 Hero to do a +10 (More even if you’re not META or useful to the party).
I’m in agreement. Now instead of needing 6/6 Hero, you’ll need 6/6 Mythic. All they did was push players to play longer.
Grateful for the rewards but sheesh.

What, should they add a 500 rating mount recolor instead?
Should add something that will actually boost participation.
Something simple like “complete 150 M+ keys above level 8” and let it count across your entire war band.

More or less… I don’t honestly know what minimum ilv I would need to knock out 12s. I can clear 10s with fairly large margins of error before obtaining any gear from mythic with guildies (just using first week of it being unlocked patch logic).
I don’t really understand the gameplay goal of this… I think they would be better served just letting more gear drop and removing the pain point of alts. That or allowing 12s to drop mythic track to make them more naturally fit into power progression.

Fair few people have been complaining how mythic rewards just stop at such a lower level
So just increased the ceiling a bit, would be like gladiator mounts were awarded at 1800 instead
