New 20 years anniversary Phoenix mount

Blizzard employees earn special service awards during their time at the company. We’ve taken inspiration from these awards to create a new mount that is fully armored in a similar style—the Coldflame Tempest mount. *This blue-flamed flying mount takes after its fiery cousin, the Ashes of Al’ar, and will let you show off your own years of service to Azeroth.

Players can also earn appearances based on the employee sword, shield, and crown to show off in-game, along with a version of the employee ring as a toy.*

Is this supposed to be a joke? This mount is not even close to being similar to Ashes of Al’Ar apart from it beign a phoenix. This looks more similar to Sapphire Skyblazer cash shop mount or Majestic Azure Peafowl we got a while back from trading post. Dark Phoenix mount we basically get for free is more close to Ashes than this. How about you put some effort and give us an actual updated Ashes of Al’Ar in blue color for 20 years of service?

I get what they were going for, and I actually do like the end result, but I wouldn’t complain if they adjusted it to be more fitting of Alar’s name.

But just because a player is there does not mean he/she has played 20 years. be cool if mount was different for every year you played. But newer players would hate that idea.

Could use a little bit more Ashes of Alar to it, but I’m good with it either way.

Its a phoenix, dude. That is literally all they need to have in common. Why are you so mad about this? Its a mount. Get it or don’t. This means I don’t need to HOPE I get enough shards to have a chance at taht rare bird for a mount. This way, I can get a blue bird mount without any fuss.

I’m more concerd with that screenshot of a MAX 125 coins.

I just noticed all the work they DID do, ok I take it back - I am happy to use coins to get previous items from other anniversary’s.

Yeah they just edited the sapphire skyblazer and made it look better.

I just hope two months give us enough time to get the coins needed for everything without being a mindless drone to do it.

Yep, that’s what I thought.

I mean don’t get me wrong, I LOVED the model for the sapphire skyblazer – but all of its glory & splendour felt incredibly cheapened by it merely being a cash-buy mount @ the Blizz-store. :person_shrugging:

That’s the problem with store-mounts though.

If they introduce a similar design one later to “earn” in the game — It’s rather lost its grand flare & special uniqueness.

probably with the coins. Either that or for doing all the classic raids through the event. Maybe for killing all the WB again.

I agree it’s not really the same but at the same time it’s a new bird mount using my favorite new skeleton so i will happily get this blue bird of happiness. :parrot:

The only mount I’m using for the forseeable future is the mech I got from the awakened chest.
