In the Capitalist driven society that is the United States of America. People pay for a lot of things over a subscription. Not just in a video game. My Ex used to spend $50+ a pop to watch WWF Raw or some boxing match on Pay-Per-View. I had a cable subscription so I should have gotten it included.
