New 10.0 leak

  1. Empire of Dragons is real

  2. Shadowlands being planned as just 2 patches is “technically” true since early on they decided to scrap a lot of patch content because COVID plus EoD being pretty ambitious, so they needed more time.

  3. No new class or race, except Dragonsworn which is like a sub class available to all characters plus their regular class (more on that below).

  4. All races can be all classes, but there’s no lore explanation for it. “You can be a draenei warlock, but you won’t see any draenei warlock NPCs.”

  5. Two continents, Dragon Isles and Lordaeron. Dragon Isles is for level 60-70 and endgame stuff, Lordaeron is for 10-60.

  6. Lordaeron is completely rebuilt from scratch like Draenor in WoD. The layout and geography of some zones are changed. For example Quel’Danas, Eversong, and Ghostlands are a single zone called Quel’thalas now. You can transition between it and Cata era Lordaeron at any point using the new “Living World” feature. The name is generic because they plan to do Living World updates for other locations in future patches and expansions.

  7. Stormwind/Elwynn and Orgrimmar/Durotar are also getting updated, but only graphically (no new quests). A lot of the human buildings from Shadowlands dataming are from this.

  8. There’s a huge profession revamp. Mining, herbalism, skinning, disenchanting and fishing are removed and replaced with a single “Gathering” profession that all characters have. Remaining professions are diversified with more complex recipes that require reagents from all types of gathering. They also help with player housing.

  9. Player housing is the big new feature. Initially there’s only a single house in SW/Org, but houses in other locations will be added in future updates. Professions make materials to upgrade your house and create decorations and furniture.

  10. Lordaeron is supposed to be a starting point for new players. It has a self-contained story that introduces them to the different races and NPCs of WoW. The only real connection to the “main” content of the expansion is the shared theme of Light and Void plus some minor story threads.

  11. The Dragon Isles are arranged like a dragon’s skull. There’s five zones, one for each flight, and a big dragon city that looks like Wyrmrest at the center that connects to all the islands. Lots of new dragonflights like the storm dragons from Legion live there. There’s the Midnight Dragonflight that’s like Vexiona and the Lucent Dragonflight that’s crystalized and Light themed. Both are the main villains.

  12. The Empire of Dragons is the dragon civilization on the isles. They think dragons are superior and are mad at the Aspects since the titans didn’t empower their dragonflights. The Midnight and Lucent dragonflights embraced the Void/Light so they could get powered up like the “main” dragonflights. Wrathion opened the Dragon Isles to try and find a way to heal Azeroth and now the Empire is trying to take over the world.

  13. Lots of new NPCs races like HD gnolls, some goofy frog people, “dragon-men” who are the regular citizens in the towns and villages on the Dragon Isles, African buffalo tauren who worship the sun, a “missing link” between night elves and trolls who live in the green dragon zone, and some iguana people who are like surfer dudes.

  14. Dragonsworn is a “sub class.” You become a dragonsworn during the intro quests and it works like a second set of abilities you have on top of your regular class. There are five specs, one for each flight but not every class has access to every spec. Warriors can be black, bronze, or red dragonsworn, priests can be green, red, or blue and so on. You can switch your spec freely.

  15. Some random story details. Wrathion is the main Khadgar-type hero for the expansion. New Forsaken leader is a council of Lilian, Calia, Derek, Velonara, and Faranell. Tyrande uses the Tear of Elune from Shadowlands to regrow Teldrassil but only in a cinematic, it’s still burnt down in-game. Silvermoon gets void corrupted and the blood elves have to evacuate to Zul’Aman which joined the Horde under Zul’jin’s son. Forsaken live in rebuilt Lordaeron City now and Undercity is left abandoned forever to symbolize that they’re “no longer slaves to this torment.” Gilneas gets reclaimed by the Alliance but Stromgarde is lost to the Scarlet Brotherhood and is a dungeon.

Yeeeahh I’ll believe it when I see it

All cool. Even if it’s not real, many of these guesses will likely come true.

One obvious issue is Lordaeron being a new continent according to this. Lordaeron is the upper half of the Eastern Kingdoms. It can’t be a new continent because it already exists. That debunks this quickly and easily in my eyes.

Are you trying to take the title of Mr. Gullible?

This is at least the second time you’ve reported some random speculation from some dude in the community as “it’s 100% correct”.

Even if some of this stuff ends up being true, It’s probably in the sense of “a stopped clock is right twice a day”

Pardonnez loves trolling and stirring up things in general with randon leaks I thought that was obvious by now…

So he’s either gullible or trolling, got it.

edit: probably both tbh.

I’ve seent that before.

Sounds correct.

I had a dream two nights ago that my character in WoW had a sub class. Not sure that validates anything of course, but it is oddly specific and I’m no stranger to such meaningful coincidences.

Dear Blizzard

Thank you so much for giving me the option to mute threads.

This would be more believable if it didnt say lordaeron was the new starting area, being as they JUST made a new starting area tutorial island.

Don’t get too hooked to leaks, they often turn out false. “Dragonsworn” is a dead giveaway that its fake.

Seen a story like this on fanfiction sites.

Highly doubt that.

Didn’t they just add a new starting zone this expansion? Why would they immediately replace it?

Assuming its real, which I have my doubts, I don’t like the idea of changing tradeskills.

Agreed. And yet, I can see Blizzard doing something that stupid.

I have 2 major requests that will lock and cement my pre-purchase + insta 12 month game time purchase:

1.) I want a dairy/milk cow mount.
2.) PvP gear MUST return to MoP/WoD iteration where conquest gear is equal ilvl and obtainable through pure random battlegrounds spam queueing. NO rating requirements. NO rated gameplay modes necessary.

This would be fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. Too good to be true.

No new class = fake. They desperately need a hook for this xpack, new class is obvious.
