[Nevermind]

Never occurred to me as a spellcaster I could use axes and swords.

What did you get? Are you sure you had the correct loot spec? Did you get additional WuE drops (these are intended for alts)?

He probably just got Warbiund Until Equipped loot and is confused.

Bountiful coffers will 100% give you loot for your spec and then a bonus roll on chests for extra warbound gear for alts.

Warbound gear does not replace actual main loot.

I got an axe and a sword. Things I can’t use at all for any spec as an Evoker.

These were the only pieces I got, I never got anything else. One bountiful chest had an axe, the other bountiful chest in a different Delve had a sword. There was nothing additional in terms of gear after looting everything.

None of my alts (Mage, Rogue, Hunter and Druid) can use these either, so it’s worthless in terms of Warbound Until Equipped as well.

Only the locked chest has guaranteed loot in it and the bountiful chests have roughly the same loot as regular T8s if they aren’t locked. Getting WUE gear doesn’t mean you didn’t get something else useful.

I did 4 delves before they really screwed them up with my son who was playing tank. He got a variety of pieces. Guess what I got? Four different backs with the same stats on them. What the heck? I understand RNG but please explain how when we have 13 different armor slots that I would roll 4 times and get 4 backs. I should try for the lottery with that kind or consistancy. LOL Don’t know if it was just my bad luck or something else was in play there. But I’m done with delves until we can somehow do them solo have some variety of treasure with those limited keys that we are given.

But dracthyr do use int axes and swords…

Yep… my delve loot is currently 5x back pieces and 4x neck pieces. It’s lame when it’s not even warbound, so I just have to vendor these 603 champ track gear pieces for like 25g -.-’

Not as an Evoker.

Yes you do. You don’t even know your damn class.

Bro really made me go to the AH to buy a grey quality sword for 36 silver and equip it.

Why the hell would I as a spellcaster ever assume I could equip a war axe or a sword?

Why can I?

Because they have been in the game since cataclysm, for shamans, mages, paladins, and warlocks. And now evokers.

How can you act indignant over the fact you were stubbornly ignorant?

Stubborn? No. Baffled and embarrassed? Yes.

Do you have any idea how many pieces of lemon meringue pie I’m going to need now to recover from this?

I’ve been focusing on staves this whole time, my old main before Dracthyr came out was a mage. I knew mages could equip daggers and stuff, but not swords or axes. It never even occurred to me how I never saw the red indicator that I couldn’t use it on my Evoker. I had it locked in my mind that I couldn’t.

Claiming I don’t know my class however because of one simple thing I didn’t realize that never impacted my playstyle all these years anyway though…

Mages have also been able to use 1h swords as far back as I can remember. There’s even a 1h caster sword for mages warlocks and holy paladins from the 3rd boss of the raid.

But this is a 2h sword.

I never once thought I could use one.

Oh 2hander, ye.

I don’t know if this old dog can learn new tricks. I’ve wrapped my head around a much, much different mindset for too long.

But I guess I could try. Oh well, it doesn’t matter. I still held onto the drop from the Delve all this time, so fortunately I still had it to equip.
