nevermind, this post can be removed
I’ve used gold to pay for the game since Dragonflight. It’s not hard.
These are my top two earners for the month. They’re both level 82 and just craft.

This happened to me as well. I went to grandma she also said no but I took her check book and bought a 12 month subscription.
Just take her social security check next time, then you can get some red bull for long gaming sessions on Grandma’s dime.
Does she have a liquor cabinet?
Im afraid to ask, but whats your age and why arent you employed already and paying your own sub?
if your underage, mowing a lawn once a month more than pays the sub.
If youre an able bodied adult as your parents seem to believe…uh?
WTH does remote work have to do with paying for anything?
Let’s see if I can help, as I currently work remotely.
I’m 61, and have 40+ years experience in my field.
I went to college
I paid for 50% of my college expenses, parents paid the rest
I worked two jobs while in college, one of which was 30 hours per week
WoW didn’t exist back then so I didn’t have to pay for a sub, but did manage to pay rent, car payment, insurance, cable bill (with HBO which was a big thing back then), gas, and far too many “party expenses”
I’m afraid I don’t have any advice to give other than beat the damn bushes and get a job. Working remotely is probably too big a stretch for you at this point.
I see.
No, I totally understand, I have a nephew who is pretty autistic who has tried to work but yeah…serious anxiety issues.
Thankfully his grandfather left him a house that he lives in now and his mother and father help him a lot. He really wants to be independant but there is just no way this poor guy can hold a steady job. I think hes on some kind of assistance for it, but not entirely sure, ive never asked, none of my business.
Remote work is the same as in person work, you just don’t have to go to an office. If you can get a good job working remote take it. I was remote (technically) for 10 years. I did go to my site and office frequently though.
I’m pretty sure you’re a troll but
There are numerous remote jobs with varying hours and demands, so you’re going to have to be far more specific than just saying “generic remote job.” On top of that, how would anyone’s experience help you when you clearly suffer from conditions that most people don’t suffer from.
Why not spend more time dealing with your anxiety issue rather than if you’re able to play WoW or not?
Sorry for my flippant post earlier.
I’m not sure exactly what kind of anxiety issues you have or to what degree. I suffer occasional depression so I’m not going to tell you to just get over it. I get that it is sometime beyond your control.
That said… I hope you are getting professional help for these issues. Other than that, nearly everyone experiences anxiety to some degree. Personally, I channel my anxiety into performance… and it is great at getting peak performance. It’s not comfortable. Playing my first solo in 4th grade… almost peed my pants… convinced myself that I got this and landed a great performance (for a 4th grader) and enjoyed the applause. Big presentation… almost ready to puke… channel that energy, rock the presentation, take the accolades. Big deadline at work… crushing pressure and anxiety… pull an all-nighter, crank out the code, deliver the product.
It’s possible to confront anxiety and use it to your advantage. Find someone to help. But, honestly worrying about a game subscription is not going to help you at all.
they prob want to play wow at the same time
edit: to op. its prob best ot just find a normal job, be it in a cafe (can always just be a dish pig. its what my first jobs were) or work in a shop. normally there isnt to much socializing needed if you work out he back
also as others have said, paying for a sub with ingame gold isnt to hard. just do 1 of the many good gold making ways and they will pay for the game itself
Don’t give up, dude. Keep plugging away. Expect to have up to 50 applications and/or resumes floating out there before you even get some responses.
I do appreciate companies thay tell you they decided to go with someone else.
- Working remotely is still work, not time to play WoW on the job.
- Use your WoW gold to pay for your subscription; make it a part-time job (gathering professions are one of the most reliable ways to make gold).
- Anxiety won’t go away without putting in some work, get help.
- If this hasn’t been done, have a serious conversation with your parents to make sure everything is properly arranged so you’ll be okay after they pass away, this is very important, don’t leave it to chance.
