Never tie raid buffs to rep again

I usually clear raids later in the tier once I’ve geared up casually.

This tier however instead of a global raid buff that advances for everyone there is a dmg buff tied to the Gallagio rep. So in addition to having worse gear than the raiders and not knowing the fights, I’ll be doing 12% less damage than them, which is annoying and a bit humiliating.

Not for the reason you’re complaining about.

Wow, so you’re weaker than the people that have been clearing the raid since week 1? That’s really unfair.

You can do LFR for rep.

The whole point of raid buffs in previous tiers was to help people who aren’t clearing the raid yet, this season it’s just a damage buff for people who already are, it’s totally backwards and you people can’t see past your “pull yourself up by your bootstraps” mentality of tryhard raiding.

In the previous tier you still had to kill bosses and turn in an item to gain the buff. No different than what you are dealing with now.

No, most tiers it’s just a global buff for everyone that increases over the season.

Most? no.

You have to go back to Dragon Soul for a global nerf.

ICC for a global buff.

I think there may be a bit of a rep catch-up in raid to bridge the gap quicker.

This raid tier is a fairly meme raid and season. Massive difference in character power when the raid started and now with:

  • +6ilvl mid season with turbo boost
  • buy your BIS trinkets/weps with coins
  • Rune enchants from horrific visions
  • stacking raid buff (now at 12%)

They really neutered the raid. You did the wise thing joining mid season when the perks kick in.

There’s a catch up mechanism that will allow you to get up to the current level without any limitations. All you have to do is kill bosses on any difficulty. The only real limiting factor is still which week the buff is available so it still serves the same function it always did.

Are you confused and posting on the wrong game’s forum? Raid buff hasn’t existed for several xpacs, and it was only recently brought back last tier.

Have you tried just doing LFR for free renown levels? Your 12% buff being 6% or even 0% won’t matter when you join late and mostly everyone vastly overgears the content anyways.

LFR Gally → Steamrolling the first few normal bosses is the fastest way to catch up if behind on rep.

What about the Demoralized debuff in WoD raids?

Chin up, it’s gonna be another 3 weeks before the bump to 15% dmg so you have plenty of time with the catch-up mechanism.

Assuming, ya know, you actually do the raid once or twice.

Nope, letting my sub expire, not going to grind LFR for 40 hours just to be on par with people that are already clearing the raid.

Mad he’s not instantly caught up with everyone else

Talked about entitled

Sympathy to go back to a time period thats never happened?

You clearly didnt want to play the game to begin with, so go find something you do enjoy.

So you just thought you should be able to waltz in and be on the same level as everyone else who has already been playing the whole season, then?

What, are you expecting to jump right into a CE guild mid tier where it would actually matter, or are you just butt mad that you’ll have to do a few runs before you’ll have the same buff in content where no one cares?

Your powers of observation astound me.

Too bad you were unable to see that what you claim happened previously…didnt.

And that it doesnt take 40 hours to catch up.

But lets be real. You arent here to be honest.

You know how many posts I have made on a game forum of a game I dont like, that I am quitting?

less than you
