That said out of curiosity i just scrolled though the first 25 posts that were up when i logged in.
23 of the 25 were addressing destro issues.
Has there ever been a time before where 1 class got this much hate?

Well nothing has ever been more broken or disgusting then Destro. Look at the official Hotfix thread 100’s of comments asking for Destro nerfs.
Destro just isn’t way to powerful it’s how they are powerful where you can’t even play the game against them. So it feels really bad.
not that destro isn’t getting any hate (most of it deserved), but that’s one guy bumping every post he can find with ctrl+f destro
take it with a few grains of salt

I think it dosent bother me as much because i have absolutely no emotional investment in PVP this season (expansion) due to the state of things. Not to be misunderstood with an inability to push. Any skilled player with a decent team can get rated. I just personally dont like the corruptions and trinkets being part of the meta. Not the way I want to play the game. (though stacking gushing in pvp / pve is kind of amusing me atm.)
I like the idea of just class vs class.
Sure that’s what you go after instead of the fact that this many threads exist about Destro needing to be fixed. Typical lock logic.
Or that the Hotfix thread has nearly 1,000 comments on fix Destro. Don’t downplay the most broken spec in the history of the game that has caused the community to unite to try and get them fixed so they can enjoy PvP.

bumping month old posts followed by a “Gotcha!” is not really constructive
destro nerfs have been due for a while, you going around like a raving lunatic doesnt really add anything other than eyerolls from community managers
I know your slow mind cant process this, but saying something non-negative about anything destro related is not a defense of destro
im happy youre unhappy about the meta though. with the kind of gameplay you enjoy, I am holding hope that while the game might be at its worst since its inception, it can still be a loooooooooot worse

you hate locks so much why is everyone leveling one?
Destro needs nerfs and it’s insane how blizzard hasn’t commented one way or the other. I get no one wants to be told how to do their job, but when there’s universal public outcry (except from lock mains trying to keep their inflated rating), there’s PROBABLY a problem.
Community members have suggested several good solutions as well that blizz could pick from -nerfing soul leech, conflag root becomes a slow/requires immolate, nerfing focused chaos pvp talent so bolts dont just 1shot- for examples.
and yet blizzard stays silent. Even if they disagree, they could say “hey we disagree and here’s why” but instead there’s just no response and its repugnant and lazy.
That’s because someone decided to spam “Nerf destro!” in a bunch of older threads.

I think what’s different for the last 12-18 months, compared to the previous 10 years, is the frequency of changes. There have certainly been classes on this level at several points during the last 10 years. However, they typically haven’t stayed at that level for as long. Blizzard used to have employees that monitored and tweaked pvp. Now it’s just an afterthought with little to no resources assigned to it.
yes in the past many classes have seen hate for sure, but not at this point. The problem is that instead of the Devs making other spells equal in damage they poured all of the damage into chaos bolt. Thus, making pvp unplayable. They can easily fix the destro, if they boost the values of other spells like immolate and other skills and then tone down chaos bolt.
There were cheesy comps in the past for sure, but not out of hand like Destro Warlocks now. I hope that answers your question/statement.
Really aren’t month old those threads they have recent activity because Destro is still the biggest problem this game has ever faced.
Those threads are also made by a wide variety of players because one thing is unanimous that we need to fix broken Destro.
Think we need to protest in the streets next. The community managers should be responding to our voices not ignoring them. This situation will only continue to escalate if they continue to ignore the people.
Protest are a result of unheard voices. We need to be louder!
You can flash back to any point in the history of the game and read people up in arms about whatever the fotm is on these forums

Actually that’s wrong, the beginning of MoP there were 3 classes that were more disgusting than destro and warrior was one of them btw.
Totally not true. What makes Destro so disgusting is it’s build. You can’t actually play the game against them. They are super tanks, they have godly control and broken damage that doesn’t even need to be set up.
If you attack Destro you lose, if you don’t attack Destro you lose. Nothing has ever been worse.
Warriors were overpowered by didn’t have godly control, tankiness, healing etc…
You clearly did not play MoP during 20 second shock wave, gag order, Reflect, mass reflect, taste for blood, avatar immunity, banner charge.
At no point in the history of the game has anyone been more broken than warrior season 1 MoP and that’s a fact.

Agree with you on destros, BIG disagree on mop war. You had charge stun, shockwave, storm bolt, two kicks, silences, fear, etc…pretty tanky, and second wind healing was broken
I think bm hunter was slightly better just cause stampede was completely busted and you could press it twice lol
