Now that I actually read it, I must admit that it has to be a troll post. Shatter with an AoE build? Blizzard can’t crit. Winter’s Chill? Blizzard can’t crit.
Honestly, the only reason to go deep frost over arcane is the ice barrier and extra range. Both are invaluable for leveling. Definitely wouldn’t take Winter’s Chill in an AoE build though. Much rather go down the arcane tree a bit at that point, pick up resistance decreases and clearcasting.
